bah

Personally, I like the whole Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. The first two Halo books are actually average as far as reading goes, but the third kicks ass.

Personally i like the Douglas Adams series, except after the 3rd it just got boring. But the Salmon of Doubt is hilarious! The characters and the humor is awsome. Too bad he's dead.

I like Orson Scott Card's novel novels. His characterization is the best I've read yet and his creativity and style are unique.

My favourite non-novel is Godel, Escher, Bach by Douglas R. Hoffstadter. (Sorry, Kurt, I don't know where the special characters are.) I dunno exactly what it would be classified as, other than philosophy. It's kinda about information in general.

I like chocolate while I'm reading sometimes...

The Lord of the Rings hands down gets my vote, not only because of my extreme fan-based devotion to it, but because of it's incredible depth. It's impossible for any story to replicate, or even come close to it. Any other fantasy becomes inferior after reading this story. It took literally a lifetime of work to create, and the story itself is as timeless as mankind. The concepts addressed have never, and will never, lose their relevance.

Damn, I didnt know MakaVeli4Life1 was a moderator now, well Congrads. As far as the books go, I'm all Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, and Xenocide by Orson Scott Card.
