For a few years I have spent a bit of time trying to get on top of the opening portions of T&R. With much looking, little time spent jumping and absolutely no clue as to how to accomplish it, I FINALLY DID IT!! (even on legendary!)

I had played through to the first marine reinforcement drop, was cleaning out the remaining enemies with a full compliment of marines left and was headed to the tight space between the two shades to take out the elites when things went all of the sudden very badly. I had contemplated going back to pick up the health I always bypass at the beginning of the level, to bring my sorry butt 2 blips up to full before I took on the narrows ahead of me just in case my marines got errantly grenade happy, but decided no. Well that was a bad idea! I took a pounding because I missed the first elite with a plasma, backtracked and got blocked by my marines. It was just a second or so before I was dcollapsing into a dead heap. And then it happened!!!!!!

Yep, all it took was dying and dropping my remaining grenades just prior to a well placed grunty grenade exploding the whole mess and sending not only my marines, but my shredded, very dead MC body up onto the bluff top! I was absolutely thrilled to finally be there........................and then remembered I WAS NOW DEAD DEAD DEAD! So much for my exploration of the top of T&R! I did have the presence of mind to pause the game before it could send me back to the last checkpoint so that I could at least look with pride upon the bluff top surrounding my carcass.........ah, a rewarding 20 seconds.........................

Just message me on live.

Ok... you should probably try jumping with a shade turret.

Well, that's quite a feat. Now try getting there "Still Alive" without the use of the Portal Gun.

Like Donkey said, try flipping a shade and jumping on it, then flip it over again.

I tried the shade flip trick, and I got virtually no bounce up at all. Tried it again with the help of a plasma before hand (old H2 habits die hard!) and all I got for my trouble was DEAD!

It was pretty amusing though. I tried to move shades around to what appeared to be lower parts of the bluff tops but to no avial. Apparently I SUCK AT THIS TRICK!
