Yup, looks like you're going to have to buy another copy of the game, which is not that expensive these days. I remember getting mine from Target for maybe $15 to $20, and that was around 2 years ago. I remember when I lost my key a year ago (I found it later on, thankfully) and I contacted Microsoft about it, they wanted to charge me $20 for another key. Which of course I wouldn't do, so it's a good thing I found my key. But that is something you can do also, just contact Microsoft for another key instead of going out and buying another copy. And yes, they still sell Halo 1 for the PC, I see it everywhere I go these days. Plus, my best friend sells used copies of the game at Gamestop, which is sometimes cheaper than getting a new one.
Also with those keygens, sometimes you'll get a key that is already in use by someone that has bought the copy and the that key with it. That's sometimes the problem with those Halo keygens. I had a friend play on a server with me about a week ago, someone joined the server we were on, and bam! he got kicked off instantly, because come to find out, someone was using the same key he was. The person finally left the server 20 minutes later (and most likely exited the game) and my friend could get back on Halo with no problem.
