I've beaten the game on mythic legendary got all the skulls except assasins with the non permanent glitch and IWHBYD. What I need to know is is it possible.I've tried it once but got to where the the 2nd turret is then I gave up.

P.S. Does assasins go on all profiles or just the one you've got it on?

What?

I tried the game all skulls on on easy, I got to fight against Regret, I hit him about 100 times, but he didn't die. I tried it again, but didn't help. After that I haven't bothered to retry it.

Even if I got past that part I believe Assassin makes it next to impossible. You have to kill, or escape everyone by yourself. No ally attacks enemies, no enemies attack against each other. It's just you vs the world.

I say no, atleast if you do it the real way, which means killing every enemy.

Assasins is the same as any skull effect. It stays on for all profiles until you take the disk out. The perma-cammo trick with Envy is the only exception, as far as I know.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

Once a skull is turned on, it affects every profile when the profile is loaded.

In otherwords, say you're checkpointed in the middle of IWHBYD. There's 5 Elites. You get assassins and then go to do IWHBYD, they'll be cloaked. However, the initial save for them saves them as they were when you first made that profile.

Pretty much, if you get all the skulls on and try to play on legendary, you're done for as soon as you start Cairo Station.

and so assasins is permanent on all profiles?

We all have skull profiles. Turning them all on and beating the game is a different matter.

No on Assassins. None of the skulls are considered permanent, they just stay on till you turn off the box. The reason skulls work for all profiles once they are turned on is because it was easier to program that way.

What again? What turret?

I said I got to fight against Prophet Of Regret, I hit him 100 times, twice. He didn't die. If you can't kill him you can't complete SLASO, no matter what you do.

And I'd like to say cheating, skipping parts of levels and such are not the real SLASO.

Wow that you couldn't beat him on easy The only skull that affects his health is mythic which only makes it the same as normal.

The second turret on cario station and I did not skip any parts.

No, I think Blackeye is the health killer skull. Your health (after the overshield is gone) cannot regenerate and you have to rely on melee to survive. BE has everything to do with health.

I would think you would know that, having played CS with all skulls active.

Here are the reasons I would not believe anyone who tells me they have completed the game on Legendary, with all skulls active.

Armory skull - They know where you are, no matter what.
Thunderstorm - Good luck on getting any melee health from Mythic/Ghost Legendary AI.
Blind - No motion detector and flashlight does not illuminate. Also, you can't tell how much ammo and nades you have left.
Catch - Nades everywhere, and they're all flying at you because your useless allies can't see the enemy (Assassins) to toss nades at.
Famine - Reduced ammo.
Envy - Will not help because of Armory.
Assassins - They're all invisible so your allies are nill.
Mythic - Heh heh.
Sputnik - Terrible skull for hiding and shooting tactics (your cover flies everywhere).
Angry - All enemies shoot faster.
Ghost - Enemies don't flinch (and turn around) with a melee.
Blackeye - When your shields go down, just go out and melee, no problem. There are not enough breakable objects to melee for health, so the whole time playing will be centered around this health problem of you having to charge out to kill them hand to hand. Also, this skull screws with the checkpoints. You will get less CP's (check out Gravemind for proof).

Theoretically the game can be won with all skulls active, but nobody is going to do it. That's my opinion.

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. Nobody.

I'll add that the Flood are invincible when driving a warthog. Good luck with that on QZ.
Probably the same thing with them in the wraith.

You're in for it as soon as you lose Johnson.

And how many hits you can kill him with? With all skulls on.

I can honestly say I hit him around 100 times on easy all skulls on, and he didn't die. And I tried it again, he still didn't die.

I seriously doubt all skulls would make him least 200 hits instead of 3.

Either it was a glitch that happened twice, or he is invincible.

Bogus on the truth thing. Mythic in Halo 2 gives each enemy triple the health. It should never take more than 11 hits to knock him out. Make sure you board him and hit him, not shoot things at him....

And I'd like to know how you even managed to board him without dying, even on Easy. Between Black Eye, assassins, and all the ultra Elites, I don't see this working in your favor.

  • 09.09.2008 9:30 AM PDT

Once, me and a partner were doing a speed-run. We got to Regret and started hitting him and hitting him and hitting him. Finaly, we took shifts. We did this for almost an hour and he never died. I believe it was a glitch.

Of course I know I have to board the chair to kill him :/ But when I was doing this particular run, after endless punching I did try everything from grenades to Fuel rods to snipers to swords. Nothing helped.

Surviving there wasn't that hard. The level itself is very do able, and then I just cleaned the Regret temple with Fuel Rods and other weapons. Once you have killed enough there's just one or two guys coming every now and then. Hunting some lone Grunt isn't that hard. Then I went back to Regret, and hit him and hit him, he teleports, I go either recharge or board Regret again and so on.

Like Grumpy said, probably it is some permanent glitch. Maybe Assassin skull does something as I recall Regret wasn't invisible. Not sure though, I did this the other summer.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

First you have to take the time to get all the skulls................

Every time he teleports his health starts over. That's your problem mate. I'll have to try it sometime and see if I have the same problem though. That'd suck if he's invincible.

No, we all know about teleporting. In all the times I've beat Regret there was one time I could not (coop on easy, no less). We never died and neither did Regret and we just gave up after an hour or so. We started the level over and Regret was dead in the normal amount of hits. It was a glitch.
