There will probably be a few missions where you don't want to be found out (staying on the stealthy side). Because of that, you might need silencers for some of your guns, and 2 new types of grenades, mainly because they don't create noise.
1. Smoke Grenade - as soon as it explodes, it lives a huge amount of smoke that cannot be scene through. In the meantime the MC could sneak up behind the enemy and hit it on the back. Would be awesome to see how it is done in MP.
2. Strobe Grenade - creates a temporarily blinding effect, and in the meantime, the MC could sneak up behind the enemy and hit it on the back. In MP this swould be especially cool. At first, if you looked where the explosion was (because you can turn away), everything would get really white. In real life you won't be blinded by the TV, but it's as if your spartan or elite was. Than, it slowly, slowly gets really dark. In the meantime you can be shot, hit, etc. After about 1 minute, It gets slightly brighter and brighter, and you start to see more shapes, but blurry ones. It goes on like this for another mintue, until you see everything fully again (unless you already died).
The only thing about these two grenades, is that if you look at your opponent's screen (if you are playing on the same Xbox), you can see what's going on, and still shoot back.

The strobe (a.k.a flashbang) would probably be several seconds of blindness, as a minute or two would be way too cheap. Incenridary grenades would be a good addition too.

I think there are strobe grenades in H2 because if you recall the 9 minute gameplay trailer, one of the marines throws a grenade. MC looks round and you can see the enemies covering their eyes. Then they rush them. This happens just before he gets in the Warthog

they arent strobe grenades, they are stun grenades.

That wasn't a flashbang. It came up so often and caused so much trouble that Shishka came out and said so.

Anyways, a Flashbang wouldn't work on a Spartan. He has a HUD that filters out blinding light, muting it so that he would only be blind in that instant when the explosion goes off, in total, less then a second.

Even if it did work on Spartans in multiplayer I would be using them far too often since they'd be too damn effective.

The two old grenades are just fine.
No need for flash bang or smoke.

I wouldn't mind a smoke grenade though. They would come in handy for crossing short stretches of ground that's being covered by a sniper.

I would like to see a more powerful version of the frag granade. Maybe like a mini nuke or something. I want to hit everying within like a 15 or 20 yard radius once in a while instead of 4 or 5. Also it would be nice to be able to carry more than 4 of each kind.

A silent gun would be cool and a supressed gun without muzzle flash would be cool as you could be a sneaky git and hide in the shadows like Sam Fisher.

Theyr'e not stun grenades they are frags grenades. (Notice blood on the floor and the fact Bungie said the frags had a new 'blinding' feture.

'strobe gernades" would be used to often would just toss like 31785183571932 of them into the base. Same with smoke grenades. Both would probably create lag.

Silencers? Man this is Halo no gd Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid (although they are both good games).

Please, for the last time: halo is not a stealth game. No flasbangs/smoke gernades. Just firefights. Maybe a little silence (melee attacks) but thats it.

i personally wouldnt mind if there was a silenced sniper rifle, or silenced SMG, i think it would be pretty cool and i really dont think it would take away from the Halo Universe as much as smoke grenades and flashbangs would......
