Regular xbox is the pre 360 xbox.

As for live if you already have a silver account you can go to xbox.com and upgrade to a gold account, for you xbox or xbox 360. The other option is to register on you xbox, I'm not sure about the exact steps, but I do know its possible.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Hey, I was wondering if I could still register a new account on an Original XBOX. I always played on my brothers console.

Anyways, I tried to Register New Account on his XBOX and it would not let us. I know Live is free now and the way you created a 'New Account' on Live through your XBOX Console was that it always asked for payment information. Now it asks for a Subscription Code?

Can you still register a new account on a original Xbox Console? The entire point of this is so that I can have my own Gamertag and not be a guest on his XBOX anymore when playing Halo 2.

? Live is not free, only the maps. You have to buy a current subscription, like at a retail store, then use that code.

Is there any way to purchase a subscription code online or through Xbox Live on the internet?

Yes, but you need a 360 to do it. Then, with a silver account, you can switch to an xbox gold. No matter how you do it, to get a new subscription you need a credit card.

You can just buy the xbox starter kit from a store but you still need a cc.

Go to Microsoft 'xbox subscrptions' and it tells you all this.

Ok thanks, but I am still confused. My brother just created an account on his Regular XBOX back in 2007 and I watched the process. He chose a Gamer Tag then filled out the Credit Card infomation and then bam, he was on Halo 2 Live. It never asked for any subscription code. That is all I want to do, but I am stuck on this 'subscirption code' deal. Do I have to buy an old-school 'Live Starter Kit'? Are those even availabe for purchase?

Thanks Grumpy1.

You know what, try entering the original code for the subscription kit that came with the game. Maybe that's what it's asking for. Was the original subscription ever used/used up.

Another thing to try is going into memory to see if there's a save for an account. If there is, you may have to delete it. I'm not sure about this, though, it may all come from the live server.

Also, did they ask you to give yourself a gamer-tag before asking for the code? Your gamer-tag info might be on your hd (the live server might try to recognise this regardless). If you give your old code to it, it might ask you if you want to renew. I'm guessing at this last bit. Someone else might have better answers.

Oh, and yes, they do sell subscription/starter kits. Subscription link Live

You may also be able to do an account recovery since you already have a silver account. I can't remember if its possible on an xbox or not, but I think it is. That should get you your account back from there you can just update your credit card info and you should be good to go. Your other option is to go to a store that sells xbox/360 stuff and get a live card.

Subject: Live for regural xbox ?

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

You cannot create or retrieve any xbox live account on the regular xbox.

You can renew one, but that's all

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

true...i tried.

If you got a "newer" xbox and wanted to transfer the account i would suggest using a memory card.
