I could try it and review it for you. I would be able to start this Thursday or Friday.
If you want to collaborate on this site with me, email ToiletPro at gmail. We'll work something out.

Gameplay is MUCH, MUCH more important.
This was my logic behind giving it a small score.

Also, I'm at a bit of a loss; I want to write some things that aren't map reviews. Does anyone have any ideas for some articles? I think I'm going to dig up some information about H3T, but I don't know what else to do other than review maps.

Talk to some long time HPC players, talk about playing techniques/tricks.

Lots of stuff you could write about! Heck, you don't even need to stick to HPC. I'm sure plenty of us would be interested in any news of future Halo PC titles (well, H3PC I guess), when it comes out.

Gameplay and visuals go hand in hand in a well designed map.
Most people just don't have very high standards these days, and are willing to settle for ugly maps. Such a shame.

I agree; too many maps these days are great but look awful. However, I couldn't find merits in gameplay and those 3 points were awarded simply for its great polish.

If you don't like my review, that's fine; I'm one guy and am bound to be biased and may have an opposite view. I'd love to hear anyone's two cents about anything.

Has anyone tried TU2? I haven't had the chance. Is it more awesomer?

Simply put: TU2 is what halo3 MP always should have been. It's got a heavy avalanche variant, that comes with a blam!load of vehicles! Including BOTH the scorpion and wraith for both teams!

Similar variants apply to other maps, sandtrap is especially good with the new loadout.

I even saw a variant of standoff with a banshee for both teams! And gauss hogs. It's pretty spectacular.

Note: all the above was from the new big team dlc playlist.

Oh about your reviews: maybe you would use a system in which you review visuals and gameplay seperately? And then an "overall" feeling of the map (which doesnt have to be the average of the above two).

Cheers.

You could rate tags and models. And I think seclusion had decent gameplay, as long as you had the "no heavies" option on the map.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

I would much prefer a mediocre visual map but excellent gameplay anyday. Most maps nowadays have HORRIBLE gameplay characteristics.

I do like this idea.

I think I'm going to specifically rate maps based in some categories: Longevity, Best Gametype, Polish (includes graphics), and Overall.

Any suggestions?

Reviewing the oldies might work out well too.

Perhaps "spotlights" on some unpopular maps that deserve more attention?

New awesome:

Designing Wonderful Maps

It's become a bit more difficult to write about Halo 1 after the trailer came out, but I will persevere.
