Putting the "pro" in procrastination since birth.

That absolute bastard on the bridge on AOTCR scared the living crap out of me the first time I played. I actually ran away and fell off of the bridge because I was that scared, lol.

add a horn that says "!%*@ BILL O' REILLY" in Austin Powers' voice, and
I like how if anyone ever says a nice thing about Bungie people think all they want is Recon, and if someone says something bad about Bungie people join with them. And then after they get done bagging on Bungie, they go play the game that Bungie made

I ran over the zealot on the cartogropher.

somewhere in the heavens...they are waiting. I love the Marathon Trilogy.
Halo CE will always be the best game in the Halo franchise. What a perfect game.

Zealots are awesome...i miss them....Brutes are fat!

Chill out - dude, you really need to

Bring back Final Run!

yea, my biggest issue with the brutes is that there's little difference in strategy or intelligence between the different brute ranks... you still just gotta lough them fulla ammo. i miss the ducking and diving of some elites vs the others who just charge you sword drawn

Zealots didn't have Camo.

Also, I dunno about you, but the only Zealot I saw in Halo 2 was on the level "Uprising", and the only difference between it and the other Elites was its color. No extra shields, just color.

I miss them too.

Play Legendary.
I did. They all got owned just as hard.

isn't there one on Cairo in Halo 2 when you're in that hangar and they're all pouring in from the boarding ship? i remember there was one big white elite who whipped out his sword and just chased you. now that's gotta be a Zealot

  • 10.18.2008 1:10 AM PDT

Just message me on live.

Yes to the one in the hanger. No, if it was silver it was an Ultra Elite. I'm surprised this is still alive.

  • 10.18.2008 5:55 AM PDT

The Zealots wear Gold armor. The elite that chased you with an energy sword was an Ultra.

To play or not to play....

Brute Chieftan with the hammer is Halo's Zealot. Not quite the same thing we know but Brutes are different beasts than Elites.

nah dude he doesn't cut it. the brutes have no cunning - they will never shock or surprise you. that's what the top elites delivered, that element of "oh -blam!-!"

  • 10.27.2008 3:40 PM PDT

i think they should of put in all the elite ranks from halo 2 into halo 3 the only ones you see are elite minors and elite majors and dead elite ultras

  • 10.27.2008 4:14 PM PDT

Here put this apple on your head, then when your heads off you will look okay

Oh my god, I played halo CE the other day just to fight a Zealot again, I do legendary, and I feel unsatisfied with it, then I get to the zealot, and I'm armed and ready, 4 Plasmas, Full rocket Launcher, Almost full sniper.

He rushes at me, and I hit him with the rocket launcher, it launches him further towards me, so I stick'em, nada, whip out the sniper while running back, -headshot- -headshot- -legshot- -headshot-. He still rushes me, and then he hides behind a wall, I run at him, and he walks backward of the ledge, but still stabs me with the sword....

Brutes suck, I see one and I say to myself "No scope" Because I have already hit them in their overgrown head, and killed them. When I first saw the Cheiftan, I'm like " Oh &^*@@#$@!*(%#^#@$&^*^(#@&&(#(#)@#%$&@$&am p;$&@&$&@$&$$%^%$#^%:#%@!!!" Then I shoot him 4 or 5 times with the BR and he's dead. "I want my ZeaZea'z Back...."

Zealot = Brute Cheiftan x 10

The Chieftans never use different behavior. They always charge jump or hide.

Bungie Pentathlon - who actually cares ?

I panicked when the first zealot charged at me....blimey....I agree tho the brutes are not a patch on Elites

  • 10.29.2008 6:59 AM PDT

You'd probably shoot back if i wasn't T-bagging your dead body.

I remember after you stuck them they'd run around in circles.

Zealots have big heads. Brute chieftains have big heads. Both are strong and scary. Both are eventually killed in battle. Lol

It's fun to charge at them with your assault rifle blazing and then watch as your body gets thrown 5 feet across the room. Ahhh good times. Actually, that just happened to me 5 minutes ago.

The elites were not as they have been in the past games while in Halo 3 but I can't complain they didn't have a big role in the storyline this time around and weren't seen that often.

My friend and I would have the Zealot on AOTCR follow us all the way to the elevator, where we would activate it and send him jumping down toward us. It was great, knowing that you either stick the thing or he slices you in half. One of the many great emotional and addictive traits of Halo CE

There was a Zealot on Legendary though. I'm playing it as we speak.

And it doesn't die...

The whole brute-elite thing..

Elites have a much better feel to them. You felt triumph after beating one and terror if there were more than three. After killing a brute, you just feel like giving Jane Seymour an apology.

hahaha, yea i'd be inclined to agree. the brutes just weren't threatening. i mean in the second level you run into a hanger that has like 8 of them, of varying ranks. even on legendary you just need to do a lot of pop-out shooting and bring them down one by one.

earlier elites would not have went out like that. they would have come after you a lot harder.

true

Agreed. For a more "vicious" race, the Brutes were not aggressive at all. In Halo 2, even, they would just charge.

I miss the intimidating zealots charging at me with their glowing sword of awsomeness I can't say anything else has been scarier other then the Halo 2 jackal snipers with their keen eyesignt and precise shots.

I have to disagree there; those things are just a pain in the ass.
