Will it be different damage,when you melee enemies with different weapons,with different speed on your attac?That would be cool and realistic!!!

I concur. The Chief's melee damage is limited only by his speed. A plasma pistol and regular pistol go just as fast as a sniper or rocket when meleeing, because the Chief's strength is so great. But since these items have more mass, they should do a little more damage.

the Needler should be instant kill if you hit someone with it (when it's fully reloaded) from even the front. Doing so will make all the needles in the gun stick in the person and create the explosion as if you shot them with the gun...

Cool idea,and if you have charged your plasma pistol and hit someone with it when using melee,it cold bring down the shields as when you shot them from a distance.

This happens in Halo:CE. I don't see why they would change it.

i agree that the damage should be slightly greater for the bigger weapons, but i disagree that they should all be swung the same speed. i know MC is strong, but that doesn't mean he would swing a 500 pound weight as fast as he would a 5 pound weight. if the bigger weapons inflict more damage they could be balanced by the speedy attacks possible with the smaller ones. maybe he could do additional damage if he was moving forward also (momentum). i personally think the combo's should be left to the small/medium weapons and dual wielded weapons, and a knockdown feature (maybe just to a kneeling position) should be implemented for when you melee with the really big guns.

i posted about this idea a while back, and most people were very receptive. i personally would love it - not instant kill, but sticking 3-5 needles per hit. if all of them stuck, you'd probably go down with your enemy too.

yeah, but what would stop it from bringing down your shields as well?
