Not to say that its not true or to boast, because I know alot of people have read them alot more than me, but I have read tfor 2 times, tf once, and fs 2 times. And I dont remember anything like that being in the books.

Hey, I just finished reading first strike for the 2nd time. Now i'm exactly tied with you. It's funny that no one wants to read the Flood twice.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

I don't think so, if they do. Then that REALLY shoots down the idea that the Prophets alone evolved on a Forerunner planet.

Unless I cannot read it says NOTHING about having evolved on a Forerunner planet. Now, onto The Flood. You are correct in that quote however, yet that does not make it so. Would you not lie to your own races claiming to be as close to as possible to what you consider Gods? This is the Prophets way of almost securing thier place at the head of the Covenant. I'm not convinced in the least bit. Also, I agree about the symbols, they use them as a sign to show what they beleive.

don't you think it's remotly possible that the prophets DID evolve on a forerunner world, and that maybe they're not lying?

Does it say anywhere in the books that they do or don't or are you just commenting on how stupid I am for suggesting that? I just always thought of the two races starting up the covenant because they need each other to set out upon the galaxy.

Quite possible. But I would assume Bungie would mention it in the Covenant Heiarchy Page if it was. I still stand behind my own musing for now since I have not seen solid evidence saying otherwise.

LoL. Uh... I never meant to say you were stupid at all Ash. I think you took it the wrong way. I was just merely stating an opinion that if it was true, and the Elites believe they aren't evloved from the Forerunner, (if they were you'd hear them boast about it), then the idea that the Prophets are is false...

Dont ask for a link or page #, but the Covenant started out with the Prophets and Elites, and from them, they recruted other races.

The prophets and elites are the head of the Covies.

P.S. I remember this from one of the books, but please dont make me look up the pages...
