I couldn't fit all the characters of cirtain votes. So I expect you not to understand some of the votes. It's kinda simple, each choice with a ... is the last choice, but with that after it. But here's an explanation if you're still lost.

-Yes
You want cheat codes available as soon as you buy it

-...but only if you've beaten that level
You want cheat codes only after you have already finished that level you're playing

-...on that difficulty
You want cheat codes only after you have already finished that level you're playing, and have beaten it on the difficulty level you are playing on.

-Only if you've beaten all levels
Self-explanitory

-...on that difficulty
Only if you've beaten all levels on the difficulty level you are using

-Only if you've beaten all levels on Legendary
Self-explanitory

-...And have beaten that level on that difficulty
Only if you've beaten all levels on Legendary and have beaten the level you are using, on the difficulty you are using.

-No
You don't want cheat codes at all

I think that they would be awesome...like all Marines turn into Spartans, God mode, etc.

But I would only want to have them as a reward for beating all the levels on Legendary, and only if you've already beaten the level on the difficulty you're selecting.

It might be fun, but Halo wasn't meant to be like this.

When you have cheat codes the game looses its challenge, and then it becomes boring, I say boo to cheat codes

No, but the game should have secret areas where you could find secret stuff like, temporary imortality power up, or a secret weapon, i would like that...

cheat codes = not bungies style

IMO, they take the fun out of the game. It's novel for a few minutes, but it quickly cloys and takes the fun out of the game. Goldeneye had cheat codes, and they quickly took the fun out of single player. In contrast, I've played Halo 1's single player many dozens of times and it hasn't gotten old. I think I would have stopped a while back if I could whiz around with infinite health and rockets. It's just not fun anymore if you do that.

The only thing I can think that it would be good for is practice with a certain weapon. I.e. turn on infinite sniper ammo and play the entire game with just that weapon for practice.

Lol I want to play with that! :( It would be fun to use the sniper rifle with that, you wouldnt need to fire ;)

  • 07.01.2004 3:09 AM PDT

It's the other way round. If you look at someone with the Medusa cheat on then you die.

There is already a cheat in Halo, ine I am sure will be in Halo2. It's simple, switch to easy and suddenly you're invincible. (Not original, by the way)

Yes, only in the form of easter eggs like the civilian warthog to use CM and MP.

not cheat codes, but unlockable items. An insentive for you to beat the game on every difficulty, and then when you play you start out with a plasma sword and you get it the whole game, or you get to fly the pelican in a secret level, or you unlock an extra mp map=very cool.

I don't just say no, I say "OMG, HELL NO!" If you've ever played Duke Nukem 3D (damn old game, but it has 2 cheats, dn-blam!- and dnstuff, god mode and all items) then you know that cheats make the game completely suck. And trust me on that dn-blam!- thing, it may sound like a really retarded thing, but it is the god mode cheat.

ok i dont know why this is even being discussed...Bungie would never sink to the level of creating cheats for Halo 2, its dumb and stupid, and would not make the game fun after youve beaten the levels......the only thing i can ever see Bungie having is this......

unlockable multiplayer maps.....thats it, nothing else.....and THAT wont be in Halo 2 either.....

*****DOWN WITH CHEATS UP WITH THE NORMAL AWESOME PLAY OF HALO AND HALO 2*****

Cheat Codes Shouldn't be Added to help you beat the Game(directly)! Only fun ones!
Here are some I'd like to see:

-Whatever Cheats:
Big Heads
Small Heads
Big Guns
Small Guns
Brute Mode (huge players)
Grunt Mode (small players)
Full Auto Sniper Rifles
Unlimited Ammo
No Reload
Concreate MC(can't be ranover)

-Playable Charecters:
Grunts
Frankie's MC
Johnson
Cortana (she's frickin small!)

- Drivable Vehicles:
Yellow Banshees
Civillian Hog
Pelican

All these should be available from the get go in Campaign and MP, Cuz I believe everyne deserves to play as the Frankie's MC.
