Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

yes.

Yep, Halo: CE is compatable with the 360, and I highly recommend that you pick it up. ;)

Be prepared for actual gameplay. Shocking, I know.

No, it's not. Especially when you can only play one map and one campaign level. The full version is better.

I'm not clear on whether or not you've played it, but if you're expecting Halo 2 or Halo 3, you may be disappointed; it's certainly different. I would argue that it's much better, but it does lack the features/options, graphics, and online play of Halo 3. It has fall damage, and while it has rechargeable shields, it also has health that doesn't recharge. Halo 2 and Halo 3 are designed for more mainstream appeal. Halo: CE is definitely worth it if you're prepared for it.

If you've already played it, it would depend on when your birthday is. My birthday is in like eight days; so, I would probably wait. If your birthday is over a month away, it would be reasonable to get it now. I think it's only $10 at Best Buy.

I've played it a while back, but only for like 10 mins. I would just just like to know some things that make it unique, some things that suck, any vehicles that are diffrent(if any), stuff like that.

Oh and my b day is dec. 2

I've heard that there is a vehicle called the shark.....?

I'd say it's worth getting now. There are fewer gametypes (Slayer, CTF, Oddball, KotH, and Race), and there is less customization within them. The general interface of the game is lacking. So, you should probably go into it expecting very little customization. As I mentioned before, there is fall damage. The health system has both health and shields, and only the shields recharge. So, there are health packs. You can't jump as high. In multiplayer there are only three vehicles: ghost, warthog, and scorpion tank. The campaign adds the banshee. Halo PC multiplayer also has the banshee. There is no shark. It's possible that someone implemented that in a Halo Custom Edition map on the PC, but it's not standard. Minor things that might annoy you include the unmovable death cam, no "binocular" zoom function when holding a weapon without a scope, and you can't change your setting/controls in game.

Unique Characteristics:
Fully Indestructible vehicles
No Despawning/Respawning of vehicles
Ability to drive vehicles with the objective items (e.g. flag)
No vehicle boarding
Plasma stun (plasma weapons hold you in place when you're hit by them)
Melee is weaker (plus no lunge).
The pistol is insane (fires quickly and is a 3 shot kill).
The weapon set is much smaller.
There's no dual wielding.

What he listed above either means you hate or absolutely love the game.
It's hard to lose anyways, it's pretty cheap and extremely fun. Maybe you'll get a kick out of splitscreen if you (gasp!) hate the campaign.
PC offers a multiplayer option and the added bonus of Custom Edition, something I highly recommend.
I own both, and they're like thirty bucks together.

I might get both...
I heard that the campaign is an incredable experience though, as well as the story line and stuff. The only bad thing about halo pc though are hackerz....? But I guess Halo(xbox) wont have that problem.
I might just ask my friend at school to see if he will let my friend borrow it for a week(or more).

Frog Blast the Vent Core!

Halo PC doesn't have many hackers, in my experience, but it does have a crippling netcode issue: You have to lead all of your attacks. If someone is running to the right, you have to shoot about 5 feet in front of them in order for your attacks to hit, whether it's a sniper rifle, rocket, or plasma rifle shot. However, it may be a preferable alternative to having very little multiplayer for Halo on the Xbox, unless you have a lot of friends who have Xboxes, Halo, and want to play it with you constantly.

Campiagn Kill Count :31,745. And growing.

The Revisionaries- One of the greatest screenshot groups on B.net. With 250 members and growing.

I'd get it if I were you. you'd probably appreciate it more if you had gotten it before any of the other games, because you already know the story, and have seen many more features and stuff. But the campaign is incredibly hard on Legendary, and it is just tons of fun. I got Halo 2 first, and then went and got the first one, and I loved it.

You could probably get it off Ebay really cheap.

I too shall lie in the dust when I am dead, but now let me win noble renown.

Alternate Xbl enabled profile of racooon.

You could buy it off the Marketplace from Xbox Originals. Just 2.3 GB. If you have room, it's very practical and useful to not have to change the disc lol

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

No gamers experience is complete without playing through Halo CEs story line.
