who found them and how did they and why did crouching and then jumping on one certain spot make you fly way up?

It had to do with the way the Havok engine worked with Halo 2. It was all just physic glitches. I dont know the specifics, but thats really it.

The spots are actually visible if you press start and look at the ground.

Where certain lines meet in the terrain are generally where you can bounce.

If I can find my halo 2 disc I am willing to teach people these as it is really fun to do!

Also know some sword cancel ways out of the maps as well which can be pretty cool and wraith boosts!

1. Find where certian lines meet in the terrian
2. Crouch walk into a corner (supposidly this messes up the physics)
3. Run to some where ABOVE the spot you found
4. Jump on to that spot
5. Press "A" as you land (the game reads you as part of the level and it shots you the only way it can go... UP)

you never have to press A or any other button except a direction when you are doing a bounce

OMG
Master Chief w/o his Helmet!

Stosh <3's me vicariously... at least someone does...

The game reads you as still being crouched until you hit something. When you hit this particular "line", it registers as an edge and bounces you off. However the game tries to un-crouch you to how high you were when you crouched, thus launching you rediculously high.

That is the simplified version of what I think is going on.

Magic I think.
