Alot of disrespectin' goin' on in there. I knew about b.net for a while before they changed it,then when I figured out where you could become a member I signed up.So then I was on the forums. I posted about 8 times and was flamed 9 times.Oh, my is it bad in there!

Well, if you got flamed (*snicker*) in the old forums, you probably deserved it. It used to be where there was a formal arguement if someone dissagreed with another. Now cuss words and profanity have replaced good arguements.

It seems that anyone and everyone is flaming eachother at The Underground, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. And there lies the problem.

Are you saying we should be like the Spartans and leave our babies on the hill sides?

  • 04.27.2004 12:02 PM PDT

bah

They didn't leave babies on the hillsides, they threw them off.

I could've sworn they ate them...

The Spartans threw their weak children off the cliffs; it was the Athenians who left them on the hillside. That's one of the reasons they were so tough.

The majority of the ancient spartans fighters were also -blam!-. Apparently the idea was that you'd fight harder if your loved one was beside you instead of far away in a village you may never see again.

I know if my -blam!- lov... Wait, let me rephrase that since I'm not -blam!-. If my regular, straight woman lover died beside me, I'd go nuts and kill everyone who I didn't know. Considering back then there were no guns, and it was all hand to hand and weapons, nuts was good.

That is a very good question. Let's look at the evolution of this thread:
It satrted off with my original post, of course.
On page three, at the bottom, I joked about how we could be selective in picking who stays and who goes.
Yoozel then picked up on that and referenced how Sparta left babies on the hillside.
I then corrected that it was a little more brutal than that.
Reiginko then comes in and informes us that it was the Athenians who left them on the hillside. He also comments that is why they were tough.
stosh then comments, out of the blue, that they were also -blam!-, which is another reason why they fought so hard.
Here we are, the evolution of a thread.
No one has yet to mention another reason they fought so well is that they were trained from a young age to be soldiers.

What if Master Chief is -blam!-? He was really sad about Sam Dying...

Nevermind, let's not go there.

If we're going to discuss the -blam!-ity of Master Chief and his partners, that might be a little more suited for the Underground, maybe? Uh.. .wait, lots of inmaturity seems to nest there.

  • 04.28.2004 11:55 AM PDT

bah

Oh, and this thread is absolutely on topic and mature. Pssshhhh.
