have any of you guys ever thought about the numbers being a date but instead of being 07/14/08 at 10:30 MAYBE it is backwards and it is 10/30/08 07:14 october 30th... makes sense... i mean the achievements for the new maps are on your XBOX that means it cant be long before they release the maps... they didnt come out on the 25th... think about it...

Everybody. I found something. That site he put up reaaallly means something. If you click on some odd shapes on the odd thing that pops up you will either get a video or some files. I havent been able to download the files but check out the video. I think its some sort of note from what i think is the cheif telling us that we have to destroy something completely. It is halo related because you see the moniter in the video.

is there a chance that this is another one of bungies marketing techniques? i was intrigued by the update so i went looking around and (unknown to me) bungie had arranged for someone else, or themselves, to assemble an Alternate reality game. both halo 2 and halo 3 had one called i love bees and iris respectively.
the thing about the arg for halo 3 was that there were a series of numbers were revealed in a halo 3 comic that were suspected to be an ip address, but failed to lead anywhere until a few days later.
these were the numbers:
206, 16, 223, and 65
the ip:
206.16.223.65
[ip leads here]
now being the suspicious person i am (like most of us here) i do believe si has been writing messages in his "KEEP IT CLEAN" posts, using numbers in place of one letter each time.
the numbers correspond as such:
KEEP IT CLEAN
0714 08 1030N
(there have been no posts by si indicating whether or not there is a number corresponding to the N.)
now im no computer whiz or such (and by all means, correct me if i am wrong) but given that there are the same amount of numbers in the keep it clean messages as the iris ip, is it possible that these numbers are an new ip for another bungie arg?
071.40.810.30 ?
or
071.40.810.30N ?
they lead nowhere now, but what about in the next coming days? weeks? months?
most likely the numbers mean something. but one thing bothers me, if this was another arg leading into some big news or such, why would bungie do basically the same thing they did for a previous arg? this is my main doubt that my theory is (and it probably is) incorrect. personally i would think bungie would think up something new rather than recycle it.
orrrr maybe they are pulling a trick on those conspiracy theorists like good ol ThugMoshGrind so people think they are going to do the same type of arg, when they actually do something entirely different.
im up for criticism good or bad, and would love to hear what you've got to say.
my "research" was done across the forums here and the halo 3 wikipedia page, most notably the marketing segment located [Here]
if anything, this post is to help all you others out there to think up more theories and such and hopefully light that match that sets fire to the shadowed powder keg that is the Super Intendent.
