In Halo3 on Campaign Level – The Covenant, you can fly your Warthog off the edge of the deepest canyon a Grunt ever saw. To fly your Warthog and float in the air just follow the following instructions:
Select Mission:
The Covenant
Rally Point Bravo
As you leave the tower and the Pelican drops the Tank and Warthog to drive through the tunnel for your attack on the 2 Scarabs in the snow, choose the Warthog. When you arrive at the battlefield with the two Scarabs in the snow, make your way past the Scarabs and drive to the right side of tower where you meet Truth. Drive up the golden ramp on the right side at the base of the tower and hug the left wall all the way out to the snow covered ramp that goes to the edge of the cliff. Make sure you hug the golden wall to your left all the way out to the edge. Have faith and drive as fast as you can off the cliff, and you will be floating in the sky. The Warthog cannot fly anywhere else, but you will float as long as you want. In single player, you can even get out and float next to your Warthog for a few seconds before you fall to your doom. However in multiplayer, if one of your friends joins you on your flying excursion you can float forever or get in the back and shoot holes in the cliff wall. You will have much more success if you have someone shooting threatening enemies so you can successfully make it to your launching pad. Your Warthog will continue to float as long as one of you is in the Warthog. Caution – If you manage to flip over the Warthog and stand on its bottom it will fall down the deepest canyon known to Grunts; however you will continue to float above the canyon until you revert to last save. Once you are flying in the sky next to the tower do not stand on the bottom of your Warthog after getting out or your friend will be tossed out into the open with you and your Warthog will blow up as it falls to its doom. Please note that this also works on the opposite side of the tower as long as you hug that wall.
Have fun flying in your Warthog!
