yet again, i dont feel like reading everyones post, but an ai "dies" when it thinks about its collected information soo much, it forgets to perform tasks necessary to remain "on", and this usually takes place on an average of 7 years, but i think this is based on an average of data of a certain number of ai, so in different situations, they last longer/less. one that knows less, lives longer, one that knows more lives shorter....blahblah.....but since cortana stored the data in halo, which is (idk excactly) billions of years of data, (if you read first strike) she is already showing signs of lag, meaning, yeah, shes probably gonna kick it.
And the covenant ai copy thing, its too late, she already has the halo data, and copying her would be the same amout of lifespan, plus theres the whole more copies = more glitches thing, and unless there is a way to put an ai in "sleep mode" i dont think that would work
thats what i think
