I think that its really the combination of the writer and artist that makes a comic work. One cannot gain an importance over the other as it's their whole that we read. When they both work together well, thats when the magic happens.

I say todd mcfarlane still stands. well him and greg capullo (which is the cover artist for spawn) would make a great team. Todd would write the story while Greg does all those amazing drawings that he does.

i agree the spawn boys (todd and greg) would do a great job with a halo comic given their attention to detail. i don't know if they still draw comics but a stephen platt (Prophet) or Dale keown might rock a halo comic too

I think Masamune Shirow could do an exellent Halo comic. Shirow is a Manga (anime) artist, credited to creating the Ghost in the Shell franchise. He is skilled at detailed drawings of weapons, powered armor, and Vehicles (requirements for any halo comic I'd say). Most of his comics accurately portray tactics of modern Military and Police organizations (Another requrement). And his manga has some of the best science fiction stories ever put into a graphic novel.

I think that Todd McFarlen ( I think that's his name )--the guy who did Spawn--or the guy who did Fathom would make a really good artist for Halo. Fathom I know is not the style to which Halo would be made but he also did Darkness or whatever it was called and he has that down. So I think either of those two would work really well, just, make him abide to the story.

I agree with Plasma Spartan. Todd McFarlene would be a great artist for a Halo themed comic. I also agree with whoever said there has to be a good storyline behind the comic too. (Who wouldn't be able to do that with what bungie had given them?) So keep thinking about it guys. It's geting intresting.

Edit: it was Stuntmutt who said the comic is in the writing.

I dont know the names of any of the artists but the dude that draws the Calvin & Hobbes would be cool. Go to HBO (halo.bungie.org) and look at comics. There are some Calvin remakes with funny Halo comics in them.
