Alex Ross or MAD! (Joe Madureira).

Btw, to the first replier: Stan Lee was NOT an artist. Jack Kirby was the original Spider-Man artist.

Ever heard of Fred Gallagher? He's awsome. If any was given the rights to make a Halo comic book, it's him.The way he depicts background noises and conversations is tight and rather descriptive. Even though his art is 'incomplete', doesn't mean he's inadiguite (pardon my spelling.) Read MegaTokyo some time. It's awsome, but you need to be a bit cousios. His perspective drawing is incredible. His humor needs some work, but it's also preaty bland in the Halo books too. It was meant for nothing more than comic releaf. That's all I have to say, before I get some other members mad.

I posed this same question in my chapter, but Sketch suggested I bring it here and open it up. Do yo have an opinion on the subject?

I haven't been keeping tabs on the comic industry in the last ten years. The trends may have changed, and I'm sure there are newer, cooler artists out there than those I listed in the poll. Have you got a favorite? Why is that artist's work your favorite?

I really want to see something that can stand on its own merits and outlast the game that would be Halo 2. Something with a beginning and an end. Is that too much to ask? If money was not an issue, who would you hire? What kind of story would it be? Not what is in it, but what kind? Ten years from now, would you still keep this book? Even though you are burnt out of playing the game, or maybe you finally have kids and a family and you decide to do a clean sweep of your home. Would this book end up in the toss pile? Or would it at least go in the sell pile?

What would it be about a comic book that will make you keep it, share it with your friends, or even your progeny?

Cheers!

Well, if you look at it my way, as long as the comic is good- it doesn't really matter who did it.

The only artist out of those that I know (since most of the comics I read are either Japanese or indie) is Masamune Shirow, and I don't know that I'd have him do Halo (I think he's doing more Appleseed right now anyway), though I'd love to see him do a pic of Cortana. :3
