My friend bought a copy of Halo and I have a copy of Halo. We are able to get both online and play mulitplayer on different servers, but when we both try to join the same server, we can not connect. If I am joined to that server, and he then trys to join, I'll get kicked out and he won't be able to join. This happens to any server we both try to join. I have high speed and have a link sys DSL/Router hooked up so that mulitple computers can access the internet. We can join servers separately, but when we try to join the same one, we can't. Any help will be great. Thanks.

i think it's because Halo's sucky netcode won't let two comps using the ports be in a server at the same time. Don't hold me to it though, i think that's why.
Wait for sexylegs, or the mard

try switching the in game ports for one of the computers... go into options.. network options, client port you can set it at about 2300 and server you can set to 2305... this will ensure enough space between all the ports, try it!

LMAO to whatis face who tried to flame me, nice! i bet your like in what? high school still?... or am I giving you too much of the benefit of the doubt... grow up man and like he said I was just trying to explain how to fix the problem. yes it is bad netcode... when two connections are trying to send/recieve information over the same ports tho like this guy si trying it tends to stop one and consider the second one more valuable.. don't ask why.. I'm not that smart... mard might know... or sexy legs davis... but I do know that chaning up the ports on one of the comps and leaving it the same on the other SHOULD fix it.. can't really test it out so idk. and as far as trying to use the same cd key he did say he had another "copy" of Halo so that might be the case too... didn't think of that one...
