So i never had any complaints about Halo 2, i even liked superbouncing etc. It added fun elements to the game. Halo 3 is alright and i have been playing it until now but i picked up H2 for the 2nd time since the release of H3 and the great memories almost killed me. Boy do i miss team snipers (i played that 98% of the time). H3 is loosing its flavor quick. Long live halo 2, it will never be surpassed

QFT.

Halo 3 doesn't have the same feeling Halo 2 does when you play it. Halo 2 just has a more fun, laid back feeling, while still being competative when you want it to be. I love it.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Its always fun to relive the clory days of an older game. I always enjoy going back and enjoying the better times.

I will never forget the first fiew weeks Halo 2 was out. Before the rude kids and cheaters made thier way in.

There's a word for what I am, but I can't pronounce it.

BFA, CCS - olde and bony & one minute musings.

Every game has its glory days -- Halo 3 did, too, I won't forget the first day I opened that baby and put it in my disc tray, and started playing Team Slayer, and got owned.

Badly.

I played Halo 3 since the day it came out. I now have a 50 and I'm probably never going to play it again, or at least not for half a year or so. I put it back in its case and back on the shelf. I've gone back to only playing Halo 2. I hope more people return, but not too many.

Halo 2 is better hands down.. only thing that sucks is not many people play halo 2 any more so its kinda a dead Match making .. if more people played halo 2 it would be amazing im hoping that at one point bungie will have like some kinda HALO2 weekend where every one should play halo 2 just for kicks...

I pesonally like Halo 3 more then Halo 2, but Halo 2 always felt so...smooth.

And the pistol...amazing.

Welp, Halo 2 has always been fun for me in the past years of playing it with fellow friends. It brang back many "fun" memories when we all started playing Halo 3 on the first day, thinking we might never play Halo 2 again..........

anyone who's played more than you has no life

anyone who's played less than you is a noob

The map design far surpasses anything Halo 3 has achieved, with the exception of Standoff.

I would rather play any Halo 2 map, warts and all, than (nearly) any Halo 3 map.

It's just a shame the netcode is so much better along with Bumper Jumper.

Meh, for me H2 is dead. I've been playing it for so long that it has no life left within it's dust filled corpse.

I always find matches fast. I kind of like it with less people online now. I run into the same poeple more often. It also seems like people with true skill stuck around.

It is sad though when I still get cheated around lvl 30. Why are people still trying to cheat for their rating?

The entire time Ive played H2 I really never got to see my true rating. I reached 37 praying not to be cheated or deleveled. Does anyone else have the same problem? Why is this still going on?

To play or not to play....

I like both games. Halo 3 is awesome no doubt about it but Halo 2 also has charm and will be valued for many years to come. I am starting to play Halo 2 again for the first time ina while and I love the game. It is awesome. Halo 2 has class and style while being comptetitve. Halo 3 has those things as well but Halo 2 is just straight up Halo 2 and no other game will be Halo 2 :))))

i think the assault rifle pretty much killed the feeling in halo 3

  • 09.29.2008 8:21 PM PDT

Bungie is the best.

Simple as that.

I have mixed feeling about your opinion, my thoughts are as follows:
1. Halo 3 was better marketed
2. Halo 2 was the hardest Halo game out of the entire series (3 games)
3. Halo 1 had loads of unbalanced issues however; Halo 2 & 3 are very balanced
4. Halo 2 i believe has a lot more MLG hardcore about it, limited to BR and having to aim for the head consistantley.
etc etc.

I think each game has its good values but, when you revisit a game it is always going to have an immediate positive feedback since, it's refreshing as you havn't been on it in a while.
