If you could actually LIVE on Halo CE/2/3 multiplayer/campaign map or maps, which would they be?

The obvious question you might ask me is why would you want to? Well because some of the maps in Halo are just so awesome, beautiful and futuristic that I wonder sometimes what it would be like to reside there.

For me its
1) Boarding Action - Its something about the isolation of space that intrigues me. Imagine it as not a slayer map, but as a Space Apartment complex. In the 26th century, I bet something like this would definately exist. Views of space rock.

2) Chiron TL-34 - Just imagine teleporting everywhere in your house. Never being more than a few feet from any room! I would put a Fridge where the OS is and always have a beer nearby!

3) The Maw - I wouldn't mind living be myself here, in this badass spacestation. And if an intruder comes by, theres plenty of ammo in the armory!

4) Headlong - The urban feel of this map is what I love. The building in the center looks like it can definately be an apartment. The backdrop is nice too.

5) Terminal - Again, the cool future-urban feel of the map is awesome. And if that train ever stops, it can take you where you need to go in no time.

Note: This is not a list of your favorite maps. Some of my favs are Midship and Rat Race, but I would not want to live there. Although, you can include them if you really wish you could.

So it can be campaign and/or multiplayer?

1) Silent Cartographer - It's a whole island, and it has nice interior living spaces!

2) 343 Guilty Spark - Underground Bunker, excellent. (Flood free version of course)

3) Chiron TL-34 - For the same reasons as posted above.

4) Terminal - For the same reasons as posted above.

5) The Library - Huge elevator, huge rooms, great mood lighting.

:)

Awesome choices Skibur! Ahh yes, how could I forget the warm and tropical Silent Cartographer! I agree with 343 being flood free and the library has the most awesomest blue lighting, indeed!

If I could pick a Halo map on which to live I'd choose "Battle Creek."

It's roomy enough for me to be comfortable, but not spacious enough to have too many visitors at once. (I'd prefer it that way; just me and nature.)

There's a health pack at one end, and an overshield at the other in the likely event of an emergency. There's running fresh water, and shelter.

Aside from all that and the scenery, what more could I ask for?

Silent Cartographer for sure. A small island that is green, has beaches, and some nice hills/mountains to protect me from the weather. Also from looking at the vegetation on the island it looks more like a island that would be close enough to the tropics so that the weather is nice, but far enough away so that it isn't super hot.

There is only one for me, because it has everything and that is the level Halo (tricky ain't i!)

Firstly, from a matter of survival, it is only one of two actual levels that has sounds of animals (birds), so there is FOOD. There is plenty of water to drink (if I ever bother actually removing my helmet!) and there is both indoor and outdoor scenery to enjoy. If I were to ever decide to take my own life from sheer boredom or lack of being around the female form, well there is that nice cliff dive off the bridge to take!

What else can one ask for??

Probably Halo or Silent Cartographer. Death Island, if that's an option.

1) Halo
Sure, The Silent Cartographer has its beaches, but it's nothing compared to Halo. Rolling hills, great hillside views, and even ancient Forerunner structures, though I can't imagine the electricity bill.

2) Truth and Reconciliation
Nothing says "awesome" better than an alien ship, probably miles long. Great resale value.

3) Death Island
(PC only) Basically the Silent Cartographer.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Id live with the Red Vs Blue Guys.

I'd go with one of the bases in Battle Creek/Beaver Creek. Plenty of room, a akylight, and multiple entrances.

  • 09.27.2008 7:33 PM PDT

I would live in Two Betrayals - If I couldn't feel the cold. The control room specifically.

  • 09.28.2008 3:45 AM PDT

Just message me on live.

The Truth and Reconcilliation would be cool. Or the Control Room, that would sell for a lot.

There's no water in Blood Gulch....You're thinking of Beaver Creek.

For halo 1, if I had to choose a campaign level it would be hard to choose between Halo and Silent Cartographer. SC is an idyllic island with clear water and huge beaches.... but I'm a sucker for alpine scenery. SC would probably get the nod! I don't know about the library... sure it's spacious but what about the waves of flesh-consuming space zombies? They really will bring down the asking price when you want to sell.

For multiplayer, that's a tough one. Halo 2 and 3 have nicer locations, MP-wise. I'd go with Blood Gulch. Two bases to live in, rolling green hills, blue skies, a hog to off-road in and caves to explore.

i'd love to live in either sidewinder or blood gulch :P

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Sidewinder
Epitaph
Ivory Towers
Silent Cartographer
The Ark

My choices would be.

Truth and Reconciliation: An awsome place to spend a vacation, purple rooms, various ships to fly around with, and the grunts keep you amused.

Delta Halo: Water, those wierd birds along with what edible vegetation you can find will keep you well fed, ODST's are fun to have around when shooting aliens female marines for good company. Then you also have elites and grunts to shoot, bash, or blow up with a tank, plus that ravine (off the rock, through the bush, nothing but jackal) is a great place for hunting.

Beaver creek and coagulation with the Red vs Blue soldiers, because you cannot live a life without violence and conflict.
