Goodness me... love is so much more then sex...
Go out and learn about the world. That pedantic thinking is proving to be the ruination of our society.

I see another Sodom and Gamorah coming....

And adding a "love" element to Halo would just ruin it entirely. Besides I don't he gives a damn if he is a virgin or not.

Yeah.... He always has his lotion, right?

And I agree with you on the love story thing. There's just too much going on in the universe for MC to be in love.

I don't think it would ruin it necessarily. It would have to be handled gently and with grace and style or else it will turn into every other video game couple. They just fall for each other for no reason whatsoever.

The thing is, the Master Cheif is slowly becoming more human, his experiences since the Fall of Reach, again on Halo and then again in First Strike, losing almost everyone he's ever come to care for have taught him something he's never before had opportunity to learn.

But the question is, should a super-soldier really learn these things in the first place? We have to keep in mind, this is a FPS. Peronally I have never known a FPS to include a love story.

Then again, we are talking about Halo, the game that redefined the meaning of a FPS, and console gaming altogether....

There are two groups of people in the world - those that hope, and those that wish. The first group hopes that nothing bad will happen. The second group wishes that they are there when it does. Which one are you?

I think you might have hit the nail on the head there D. Staten mentioned this is the antithesis of a normal story where a character gets stronger and stronger. In this case, we have the strongest hero ever, and he only becomes more human.

Flood and Nelo, that's precisely it. Trust Bungie to break molds. They mae the first FPS I know of to include vehicles, they're also the first to use both first and third person in the same game for different things.

They're also one of the few that bother with an elaborate backstory filled with passion and sacrifice.

We may be enured to it now after playing it so many times over and over but Halo had passion. Captain Keyes, God rest his soul, was a man among men and you feel for him. He deserved a better end then what he recieved and you couldn't help but feel that when you looked upon him.

Above all, Bungie tells stories, the game is just the medium.

If you read that it does'nt say he really does have a reduced sex drive it says its a sideeffect that it might happen like elephantitus that some of the other spartans got and such.
