Not if your on the same screen. If at a LAN party , some guy keeps looking down the hall, then YES.

It is coz it ruins the realism and point of haveing a motion tracker and the arrows that tell you were your being shot from.

There are two groups of people in the world - those that hope, and those that wish. The first group hopes that nothing bad will happen. The second group wishes that they are there when it does. Which one are you?

Totally, but what are you gonna do about it?

if we catch my friends or i screen looking then we just punch them into not doing it, and yes, screen looking is cheating, it takes out the entire point of sneaking up on sumone.

Yes, I rely on total stealth and stalking techniques, when people look at my screen in BG, I can't hide in bushes and stuff.

Yes it is cheating like if you play oddball on Damnination, one ball, 4 players, if you hide somewhere they will screenwatch

i consider screen watching cheating only on "big maps" or maps with sniper riflles. Thats why whenever i want a serious halo match, i start a little LAN party with one tv with 4 people on one team, and two or three smaller tv's with the other 4 people. Its cheap when someone is looking at your screen and your in a secret sniping position, then they will know where you are and blast you with a scorpion.

I hate when the person I'm playing against looks at my screen. I can never sneak up for a headshot/melee attack...bastards...

I got bros. and they don't give a Sh$t what i say. They do it so i do it.

But it is also a pain because they see where you are like sneaking up behind them, or your sniper position

Screen watching is cheating, it's also really hard to avoid (eg. Oh look a massive block of colour under my screen, could it be the rocket launcher). Make a cardboard divider or get a system link cable and a mate with another Xbox.

Yeah, but that's what LAN cables are for. Crack out one of those and some more TVs and XBOXs and your sorted. Always have teams on the same screen (if 8 players, in the same room). If you're playing a free for all LAN match then screen-looking doesn't matter. That's because with screen-looking you look at an opponant's screen to find out where he is, then hunt him down. With a LAN game, you're bound to bump into someone else on the way to your target.

I consider screen-looking cheating when you look at oppenants screen for a specific piece of information. A few examples are:
* Looking at the opponant's screen to see how close to an objective he is (Flag, but why would you play CTF on split-screen when the main method of capture is surprise?).
* Looking at the opponant's screen to see where abouts he is with the sniper rifle. See if he has a good spot.
* When you and an opponant have just had a little fight, and he ducks for cover to reload/change his weapon. You look at his screen to see when he's coming back for more.

yeah, its cheating. it ruins the stealth aprt of the game. now sometimes you cant help it (like im playing 2 players,a scope comes up on the bottom screen. i run for cover my bro screams "SCREENHACKER".) but on 4 player games i NEVER screenhack. EVER. my bro and cousin do it though and they dont care what i say.

I beat the -blam!- out of my friends if they do it, its easy to tell if somebody is doing it... it is cheating no matter what, its stupid, you must suck if you have to look at some one elses screen to win,(did not mean to flame just something i hate)

it sucks when ur trying to snipe them and they suddenly stop and hide for cover and keep doing the opposite move to avoid u.thats when u know there watching ur screen constantly whichs pisses me off.

Sometimes I'll just go over to my friends house and I wont have my X-box with me so we have to split screen, and we always play at least one game of snipers (cos he likes to challenge me as Im the best in my "Clan" and hes the second best) And if we are on the same screen then he will screen check, I know this cos he will randomly start moving erratically when I have a headshot locked in, and I know when hes actually looking around he stands very still! Also one time I was playing King of the Hill and I was hiding and there was no way he could see me and he strolled in and shot a rocket straight at my face!
In short... its cheating

If that's not cheating, what would you consider cheating? My team never has radar on. Plus we always play here. So we never really play on the same screen with an enemy unless it's a 8 player FFA. It's still cheating though.

Well, I voted yes for screen looking is cheating. However, if your all on the same screen, why would you not screen look? I always do it to my friends and it pisses them off, but then I say, "well the screen is small, my eye wanders, then I know where you are". It doesnt help either that I am a master at figuring out peoples postions and where they are headed by looking at my teamates screen in MP to get an idea of where everybody is.

i am aginst looking on peoples screens so if i'm playing aginst my friend and i see his screen and i react to him seeing me and if i kill him i'll comit suicide to even the scores back up
