Me too, you're not alone.

I'm guessing the main server client list went down.

EDIT: This is for Halo 1 PC. I'm hoping it's not that they've finally pulled the plug (unlikely as that is)

Yeah, me too. What ISP are you using?

Thanks for the reply, glad to see I'm not alone on this one. I have work soon from 5-12a.m. (EST) so hopefully it will be working by the time I get home. I am using verizon DSL, btw.

Where are you guys based? Could be a geographical thing.

They haven't; it's working for other people.

I'm using Virgin Media in the UK. I'd do a traceroute to see where it times out, but I don't have the address for Gamespy's master server.

Play hard or go home!

Same prob here since late am of 08/09/27

I'm on West Coast USA, ISP is Comcast HSI (cable).

Master server: halor.ms6.gamespy.com (207.38.11.14:28910)

I also tried the Gamespy Arcade client, no servers list there either for any of my games.

Can still direct connect and connect via Xfire's server list
(I thought Xfire queried Gamespy's master servers but I guess not).

24 and female.

Same problem with me and I just checked. Was working just fine this morning.
My internet provider is through Wide Open West here in Michigan.

Maybe they're main server is down again like it was around a week ago, but this time it's worse. I'll post something on the GameSpy forums and see if anyone there knows that the problem is happening and if they are going to try to fix it soon.

EDIT: also, it looks like people are having trouble with the Command and Conquer games, where some people can't get to those servers which is through GS also. So it is a problem with GameSpy, not anyone's internet provider.

Just got home from work, it still has the error, only now it pops up as soon as I click get list, rather than waiting 5 seconds.

Yes...Game Spy needs to put the hamster back on the wheel or get a new one.

:EDIT: Game Spy finally received my message and they put Halo back on their not fixed list again and said - "Halo - Down again (should be fixed soon hopefully)"

::EDIT(today):: Halo is fixed now, well...for now at least.
