Hi webmaster
I know you get lots of requests. I hope you can get to this one. My son (Demitrius Kalergis aka Toastmanburns) has been teaching me to play Halo Reach 3. I'm not very good and so when I play as his guest I never (3 days of playing) get more than one or two kills. I do move around the battlefield constantly, not very well, but I'm just learning. Since he started teaching me, he has been banned from accumulating credits. I suspect it is some computer generated thing based on my poor playing.
I spend a lot of money on all this stuff. :) You are in effect, depriving my son of the use of the points I spend a lot of money for. I don't think my son (or anyone) should be penalized because they have a guest who plays actively, but is just lousy at it. LOL
From other posts, this seems to be a glitch in the system. I understand why you must have measures to protect the integrity of the game for everyone, but this needs some tuning up. IMHO
I see many other similar complaints on line. Is something being done about this? What can we do differently? Maybe there should be a training module that a new player must pass before actively participating in games.
Thanks for any help or insight your might have on this.
Cordially,
George Kalergis
"George",
This may come off as harsh, but if you want advice then here it is. Your son didn't get banned for you playing with him and was 99.9% for sure banned for a legitimate reason. The banning system is excellent and I do not know of a single case where it banned someone improperly. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's move on.
First things first. I can't find your son (Toastmanburns) or his service record on here. That makes it hard to see if he did anything obvious wrong while playing the game that may have caused the ban.
Without getting into a huge, long explanation for which I am not getting paid for (so I'm not going to do), you're wasting your time posting here and you're not going to get this ban overturned. If you really want to push the envelope, you can find a moderator (search the site or old posts, I'm not doing your work for you) and message them. Please know that if your son was in fact banned for a correct reason, the length of his ban will be increased as a penalty for wasting someone's time. Please also know that Bungie is on vacation still (I believe) so I would not expect immediate attention.
Nothing is being done about this. When you play with your son, if you're learning the game then do not play on Live. Just play local while disconnected from live and you can learn like that. Once you have the basics down, then go online. If you would like a training module, then play campaign by yourself first on Easy difficulty, then on Normal difficulty, then on Heroic difficulty, and then finally on Legendary difficulty. Once you have finished this (or "passed" this), then you may play online with other players and you should do well. There is no training module that will make you a good player in 30 minutes.
Finally, your son is not entitled to any points or anything else for that matter. Here, you have no rights. If you do not like something that happens in this game, you are more than welcome to put down the controller and walk away forever. I personally plan on sticking around as I find the rules to be very fair. I play the game because I enjoy playing the game. I do not play the game for imaginary credits or ranks.
Hope all this helps.

You're an idiot.
The banhammer bases it's bannings PURELY over kills.
Bad guests CAN get people banned.
If you don't believe this, you're more deluded than I thought.
exactly. thank you sir, this kid is a random wannabe xbox moderator, go call in some tips on crime stoppers kid, this is xbox live, not your local police station. stop trying to be an administrative figure and talk with such importance and fake intelligence, your a stupid random.
