Where did that ban thread go...

First of all you still give no reason as to why this is an advantage, so what is it? Second of all you might want to stop trolling this thread unless your trying to prove your innnocence in some way to Shiska. He specifically said to stay on topic so you can shut up now. :)

Firstly, its an unfair advantage on your behalf since you can achieve all the exp/medals you require which is bannable, secondly im not trolling this thread, im simply saving the time of a bungie employee wasting their time inspecting your games history instead of more important things which in my opinion is anything. Thirdly, you'r innocence has been denied, good bye :)

Is there a list of ways to get banned besides the obvious stanbying, etc.? I think it'd help.

For instance, sometimes me and my bud will try to kill each other for fun in the game if all but one of the other team has quit out. Is this a no no?

Also, sometimes if we end up with team duals I won't use anything except nades to practice my sticks. Will the new banhammer pick up on this and flag me?

If I join a game and someone's trying to get the achievements with everyone do I need to quit out of the game to avoid being banned?

Is quitting out of games even allowed anymore? IE: when my wife comes home!

Last time I checked your NOT a Bungie employee so you have no right in the matter. What you said is still not an advantage because it IS NOT hurting anyone. I'm not ruining anyone's experience. Also, last time I checked, having more exp doesn't give you an advantage over players, it's just a number for crying out loud! If you actually read, you'll find that achievement boosting is not a bannable offense under Microsoft rules. Good bye troll :)

Where did that ban thread go...

Posted by: Andrew Gower
I am not certain if I am EXP banned as defined by your original post. However, I am NOT increasing/decreasing EXP and Highest Skill in Matchmaking.

I played several games of Team SWAT today and, after seemingly not decreasing in Highest Skill (after enough losses to warrant a noticeable decrease), I verified for myself that I could not gain EXP or Highest Skill. I did not test if I could lose EXP by quitting out of a game, however.

I talked to a friend and he said there was a discussion about it on the forums. I decided to come here and see what this was all about for myself after verifying with him that I could not gain EXP. (He could gain Overall EXP; however, his playlist-specific EXP and Highest Skill did not increase/decrease.) This thread says nothing about not being able to gain/lose Highest Skill and as a result I'm wondering if I am banned or if this a non-related issue.

I thank you in advance for reading my rather lengthy post. I'll see how often you check back on this thread and then determine based on your last response when you will most likely read this. I'll try to reply soon if need be.

Exp/Skill system is currently down :)

Say going with 8 ppl in DLC FFA and just purely going for the achievements and nothing else.

1. Since when did anyone have to be a bungie employee to prove somebodys wrong in every aspect.
2. Its and unfair advantage towards the rest of the halo 3 commuity that are not boosting for achievements/exp/medals, as 'we' have to work for them (this excludes other boosters)
3. Boosting for exp has an advantage over players whom might want to rank up to the next rank or achieve higher.
4. Achievement boosting is bannable in bungies rules.
5. Leave bungie forums for 2 weeks please? :)

Is that really cheating though? Your not taking the fun away from any one else or breaking the game in anyway by doing that.

But why should you be able to achieve them all in one game exploting the DLC FFA/Rumble Pit while i would have to get them by randomly going into match making?

You dont have to do it randomly though. Any one can gather 8 people and do it. That it no way should be a form of cheating. If they were that worried about something little like this it should of been ranked games only.

Remember the original achivements and how they were boosted and some people found them to hard to get without partying up with people, i guess bungie made it social so people wouldnt have to cheat to get them all and they could get the achivements just by playing the games normally.

can't obtain any EXP for 2 weeks - 1st offense.

I seriously hope it resets there EXP entirely if they get caught again.

You know.. after reviewing the games I can see how someone would think I was EXP grinding. But I was really just trying to get the achievements. I'll tell you right now Shishka can reset my EXP to zero if he wants. I really don't care about EXP. I mean it's fun to earn but I certainly wasn't buddying up just to get EXP points. Completely understandable though... I didn't really think about that aspect. But if you look at my record I only did it that once and it was just to get achievements and nothing else. Live and learn.

1.Bungie gave its rights for halo to microsoft.
2.This is still not an advantage over players because their SKILL is what matters not their number.
3.So far you gave me no justifiable reason as to how this is unfair to someone.
4.Unless you're some fat loser that cares about someone else getting an achievement then why should you care?
5.Getting a number does not affect someones playing. I'm afraid your wrong.
6.I still don't understand why you're here because you have no part in this thread. Are you making an appeal? No, so you may leave :)

Then why are people getting banned for finally being allowed to get achievements through using a party with people that have the same intention as them?

I was banned from Halo 3 and do not know why... I went to the bungie.net/bans and looked at the list but I know I did not break any of the following rules. I am unsure of why I was banned and would like to get a answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The message was not clear it just said permanently banned but had no reason could you help me and give me a answer.

Thanks

It's either because you were not active during 2 games of DLC FFA or the three games on DLC FFA where you had 3 or 4 guests in that kept getting 0. So the banhammer decided you were a cheater in 3 games or 2 games. Looks like there's more than meets the eye.

Thank you, Captain K Mart.

AerialRush, I've been readiing your back and forth with cookie of chaos, and I really have to say, how can you be so ignorant?

I don't want to get involved with your entire argument, only the part where you say EXP boosting isn't bannable.

You really have no defense here. EXP boosting is a bannable offense. Plain and simple. You can't debate, you can't deny it, you are wrong in that aspect.
