Well, it is a small private college so it doesn't have the best network. There's plenty of kids in my dorm who play MM and they don't get banned even though they have lag, so why did I get banned for having a bad connection? I know that my ping is good a little over half the time, but I stick it out and deal with it and don't leave. In the matches that I play, people leave early all the time, it drives me nuts, they're losing, so they leave, and then I get banned for having a poor connection? I thought that was one of the things that people don't get banned for.
Most of those matches were started, but people quit early when they're down 3v2, 4v3, etc. The last link you posted, it was actually 4v2 with my team down two people because they quit early. The two bottom people in that game (ULTIMATEGAMR85 and HaPPySn1P3R07), quit about halfway through the game when the score was 26 - 6. GirlsCanPlayToo quit with just a few kills left in the game, and SATKIN56 stuck it out and played the whole game. That was actually one of the few games on a variation of Snowbound that nobody was lagging. One of the main reasons me and Janus won by that much was that we stuck together and played as a team, plus, I've seen Janus get 37 snipes in one Shotty Snipes match, so he's pretty good. I believe it is at least a second account for him if not more than that.
The first match you referenced, I think one of my teammates were kicked because of lag, while the two others quit because they each got killed. They left me 2v1, and I stuck it out. They had one guy that quit because they weren't winning in a 2v1.
Just because I don't quit a match because it takes 15 seconds longer to start doesn't mean that I cheat, it just means that I am patient enough to wait a little while for the game to start. Most of the people that I play with, they see the game is taking slightly longer to start than normal, and they leave. One person may be kicked (or none at all, it just takes a little longer than normal), and then the match will start, leaving it 2v4, or something else uneven. I even played a game 4v1 at one point, just because I didn't feel like giving up. If I would've quit then would the four people on the other team get kicked because of network manipulation or some other such reason because they won by default?
The following things will not result in a visit from the banhammer:
* Lag (poor or intermittent network performance).
* Occasional disconnects due to inconsistent network conditions.
* Playing with the same group of friends over and over using the party system as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.
* Losing games over and over again as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.
* Winning games over and over again as long as this is not for the purpose of boosting.
* Being polite, courteous and refraining from hate-speech and racial slurs.
So the Banhammer doesn't follow its own rules? It kicks becuase of lag now too?
