In multiplayer occasionally after taking a severe jolt, either from an explosion knocking you in one direction or from hitting the ground really hard your rocket would missfire. On your screen it would show you looking in one direction, say with your retical on your opponent then you fire and your rocket takes off in some complete other direction, usually to the side. . . on the other screen it shows you facing the direction your rocket actually shot, this often results in a suicide, or the opponent getting the kill, when they shouldn't...I really hope that is fixed in Halo 2....

it should, and yes that was pretty annoying, i guess it had something to do with frame rate? or maybe just a really bad glitch that they missed......

I always figured it a glitch that was just too random to catch in all the testing they did

it only seems to happen in ROCKETS ONLY games, other times the rocket launcher seems fine....

maybe they never tested the ROCKETS ONLY mode long enough to notice it (speculation)

I saw something funny that always seems to happen. If you jump and fire a rocket in mid air, it looks like the rocket shoots out of your face to someone else. Try it its funny.

It is reallistic. If you had been shot with a rocket and were flying 20 meters through the air, your aim would be a little off too!

yes true, but when you RECOVER it still shoots to the side sometimes.....the gun should shoot where the reticle is pointed......

try swinging the tank barel around about 360 degrees, and fireing while the barel is still swiveling- it does the same thing! The reticle is a part of the HUD, not the gun. The barrel of the gun will still be pointed wrong until the MC gets it straightened out.

I find myself swinging around to shoot someone and nothing coming out of the rocket launcher. I realize that this has little to do with this particular topic of conversation... but.... what gives?

Am I the only one, who on a regular basis, spins around to blow someone's face off and nothing comes out of my rocket launcher? How can I prevent this glitch?
