You know how Halo CE MP options kinda sucked how you had to pick a certain type of weapons settings like: No sniping, or short range, or human. What if in halo 2 you could see a weapons and vehicles list, so you can check them off, like ok i want all weapons but no shotgun, and only warthogs and ghosts but no scorpions, and only plasma grenades. I think it would be a great idea. You do you guys think?

Do you mean it should have a pefect dark/ timesplitters 2 kind of option, where you choose exactly the weapons you want on a level. If that is what you mean, then i dunno, it sounds god at first, but it may unbalance some of the maps, im sure bungie has worked out a wayfor all the weapons on a level to be usefull. Also there isnt really any weapons in halo or halo 2 (So far) that i dont like, so i wouldnt want to turn some of them off. Besides, in multiplayer elites always start witha plasma rifle and plasma nades, whereas spartans start with a battle rifle and frag grenades.

are you sure about that?

I dont beleive that will be how it works, because in its own sence, the elites have advantages short range, while spartans have it good long... so you could choose the right character for the map that it suits! (i know you can pick up weapons during the match, but chances are you'll start near someone)

I think having vehicls being able to customize would be a great idea. But for weapons... I'm fraid it might throw the balance of the game off.

Also, I'm thinking if its possible for one extra option. Its relative to ping time. I find many online FPS games, the host has far too much advantages. So for people who is far away from the host would have horriable bullet lag. I often play with people half the earth away from me, so this issue really annoying me. Now Capcom's Steel Battalion, Line of Contact, has done one thing that I really like. They take into account the worst ping time amount all the gamer in the same room, and use that ping number, so everyone would have the same delay (lag). So no one would have advantage over others. If this option is available for Halo2, it would make more fair matches available for people around the world. Of course, this feature should be an option that can be turn on or off, because there would be people dislike the idea...

Um, this idea is more like over kill... It was thought up before Halo 2 was announced because many people disliked it from the start....

i want as many options as i can get because if you don't like them you can turn them off i would love to eliminate all the cheap rocket launcher kills by just turning the rocket option off

i'd love to have more controll over the multiplayer gametypes, from weapon, and vehicle selection, to all the misc options that were included in halo1.

For the guy who considers getting killed by a rocket a cheap kill. Not quite sure i understand the logic, because you can always pick up the rocket launcher yourself, or better yet, camp the rocket launcher spawn point and make sure no one picks it up.

yea, i see what ur saying.. like time splitters right? cause i with i could turn sniper and shotguns and other stuff off.. that way there is no nooby/cowardly fighting.. just in ur face classic war... no 1 hit kills...

The more options the better, I think. If people say that it makes it unbalenced, well, it was the player who chose the options, not Bungie. And furthermore, you can balance the weapons to your needs, i.e. if you have a team that is really good with the shotgun and rocket launcher but want to focus on pistol and melee combat, I think Halo 2 should be accomadating in that regard, so you are given the power to choose, not the game.
