Stealth more or less will probably nothing more then something you can choose to play in. Basically, you can pick how you want to handle the game...

This will, over all make more ways to play multiplayer as well... The idea of setting up an ambush for inbound enemies sounds intreging(sp?)....

ESCORT MSISSIONS will make the game suck if they include them and babysitting marrines by haveing to locate and save them like in the second level in halo 1. if this stuff is in halo 2 it will bring it down a notch

I think that not allowing 3 guests could potentially ruin the game because then it would just be like all those other live games where you need to take turns! That sucks sooooooo much!

Also I think you should be able to drive with the flag, but I doubt that will ruin the game. Poeple will just need to get used to it.

There is only one thing that will ruin Halo 2.

Snobby little spammers, idiots, and 13 year old brats that think they know it all about Halo and Halo 2, but don't know -blam!-. They are the ones that talk too damn much and will get in my way. They'll try to cheat in anyway possible and will whine like little -blam!-es when I kill them or they get killed by someone else. Also another thing that will ruin it is people like Devastator888 who complains about a well recieved part of Halo 2.

Lemme see... Halo masters on multi-play that are using some sorta cheats for, like, quadruple weild instead of double.

Yeah, too bad they dont have some sort of Punkbuster.

Edit: And another thing that can ruin the game are people who complain about people.

A Xbox Live scoreboard. I'm tired of stat whores. Too many people quit games just to keep their stats up. In too many games, high ranking players tend to kick lower ranked players. This makes it difficult for new players to get into a game. Scoreboards cause nothing but problems.

TO EVERYONE W HO THINKS PEOPLE WILL CHEAT ONLINE

it will not happen via xbox live. if u play xbconnect then yes it might, but as far as xboxlive, to perform any mapmods such as glasswalls and so on u will need a modified bios to run the modified software, which will get u banned from live. That is just to set the facts straight.
So when u are playing on xbox live, if u think that they are cheating... well their not, some people are actually that good... case closed.

It is not a matter of modding. It is a matter of exploiting the map or the game in any fashion. Like two people picking up an overshield at the same time and making some error to occur that screws up the rest of the server. It is possible, you just got to know how to work it. Another thing, if they have Action Replay they can do a bit of modding that will get into XBL.

And I only compain about those that are truly annoying. I don't need some damn know it all kid trying to ruin the game for the rest of us.

Yeah, I don't think cheating will be a problem on Live. Of course, there will always be the stupid people who immediately scream "OMG WTF HAX!!!" whenever they get killed, because logically nobody is better than them skill-wise. /sarcasm After a while you can just learn to ignore it (or mute that person on the voice communicator).

And sometimes I fear that with all the new things like homing rockets will just make the game too noob-friendly. But we'll see. I'll give Bungie the benefit of the doubt with that kind of thing.

But the single worst thing that I fear could absolutely kill this game online is the teamkilling and racist idiots. If Bungie doesn't plan ahead for this stuff (hopefully they aren't that naive), it will ruin this game. HaloPC was unplayable for months until a patch came out to auto-ban the repeat teamkillers. I literally couldn't find a game most nights that didn't have at least 2-3 people betraying constantly for hours on end. After the patch fixed it, it was still a bit of a problem once people figured out how to get around the system, but it wasn't nearly as bad as before. I just really, really hope Bungie includes ways to deal with the online griefers and jerks, because a big-ticket title like Halo 2 will surely bring the little twerps out of the woodwork.

Bungie, if you read this, PLEASE don't let these pre-pubesent -blam-holes ruin your awesome game! Thanks.

1) Sprinting. We don't need the stupid sprint option. Master Chief runs fast enough and he also has an arsenal of vehicles to choose from to boost his speed. It would take the fun out of getting away really.

2) Leaning around walls. Ok people... If you want to lean around walls then go play Rainbow Six 3. (PERIOD)

1) sprinting is an excellent idea first of all, there is nothing wrong with it whatsoever, you can only sprint straight, so you cant just sprint around in circles avoiding sniper shots.....

2) i realize ur fear about leaning, BUT you obviously dont know everything about the leaning feature, you CAN NOT FIRE when leaning, which eliminates the possibility of "quick peak glitchers" which i think is what you meant by Rainbow Six 3, its NOT going to be like that, both are going to be great features, they you will use a lot most likely

uptop someone posted "strongly" that dual weilding with an energy sword would not be possible. i could of sworn i saw it post on the site somewhere that it was done with a BR and a sword. I will see if i can find it.

rocket-tracking. i have not played it yet but i am hoping it is not to powerful.

Also the warthog having an e-brake. I personaly do not want to be pushing the brake button everytime i want to slide. I loved how the hog always slid around and -blam!-.

I agree with a bunch of people who have said Rocket Tracking might be bad. In Halo if you have the rocket launcher you are god. Why would they make it better?

i dont think anything will ruin halo 2 but things may suck. if the flood is in halo 2 they need to make them better some how. the hole stealth thing sounds really stupid because this is a badass war game. you will most likey be able to choose wether or not you want to run in the shadows or go in guns blazeing i think everyone will choose the run and gun but after a while you will want to try something else. the sprint thing sounds pretty -blam!-. i wont run away from anything if anything i will use it to run at them with my energy sowrd.

Stealth is just an option. I sneak around in Halo, all the time. Creeping around corners and blowing off an Elite's head with my sniper rifle is one of my favorite pastimes.

About the stealth aspect of the game: I think this just CAN'T ruin the game. Why? Because it'll be just an option. I played Splinter Cell (1) again today and I was shocked that I could get past the final section without being shot at. That felt great! I also remember a room in Halo(Legendary) where I had one red bar of health left, but I managed to do it at once because I could melee everyone in the back. I'm quite sure that the so-called stealth-sections in Halo 2 will be like that, e.i. super! And if you don't like it, then don't do it, eh.

The one thing that could ruin the multiplayer aspect for some people is indeed the homing rockets function. But then again, if it doesn't turn out to be better than good, it won't be implemented. Plus, no single reviewer complained about it.

I know EXACTLY what will ruin the muyltiplayer part of the game. 12-year-old AOLers. you know the loud, anouying(sp?), paranoid kind of people. If you look at them for to long they shoot you because "You were aiming at me" or "i didnt want you to shoot me, so i shot you". If only parents would inforce the ESRB ratings to keep these dip-blam!-s from playing online. this also includes Team killers.

Personally I am apprehensive about the lock on rockets as well, but I dont think it would work everytime I mean if you knew the rocket was on yo ass then you might be able to dodge it if your in a vehicle, a quick u-turn in the hog for example might break the lock and send the missle flying off harmlessly in the wrong direction! So I wont make a judgement on it until Bungie comment or I find out for myself!
Everything else looks amazing and can only improve the game!

the rockets wont be a big deal because the target tracking will only work with vehicles anyways

you cant target track a person
