Yeah, I don't think cheating will be a problem on Live. Of course, there will always be the stupid people who immediately scream "OMG WTF HAX!!!" whenever they get killed, because logically nobody is better than them skill-wise. /sarcasm After a while you can just learn to ignore it (or mute that person on the voice communicator).
And sometimes I fear that with all the new things like homing rockets will just make the game too noob-friendly. But we'll see. I'll give Bungie the benefit of the doubt with that kind of thing.
But the single worst thing that I fear could absolutely kill this game online is the teamkilling and racist idiots. If Bungie doesn't plan ahead for this stuff (hopefully they aren't that naive), it will ruin this game. HaloPC was unplayable for months until a patch came out to auto-ban the repeat teamkillers. I literally couldn't find a game most nights that didn't have at least 2-3 people betraying constantly for hours on end. After the patch fixed it, it was still a bit of a problem once people figured out how to get around the system, but it wasn't nearly as bad as before. I just really, really hope Bungie includes ways to deal with the online griefers and jerks, because a big-ticket title like Halo 2 will surely bring the little twerps out of the woodwork.
Bungie, if you read this, PLEASE don't let these pre-pubesent -blam-holes ruin your awesome game! Thanks.
I havn't read if anyone said this yet but....
TalkingElmo please tell me you have an xbox because if you dont either you'll have to wait a long time for a pc version or there might never be a pc version. I suppose you'll just have to wait and see.
Oh, and there are only 2 things that could ruin Halo 2 for me one would be those nasty little cheaters (but I dont think i'll have to worry about that) and second those people that will get blown to bits by a rocket when they're (safely) behind a shield and they immedietly say "that guy cheated there's no way to get me behind that shield with that humongous exlosion."
