I don't think that this has been mentioned before, and if it has, I haven't seen it. Anyway, I was thinking, does your vehicle take damage when you run into stuff? Even in single player in Halo 1, when you were driving a ghost/banshee and you hit something (other than a bullet), the vehicle didn't take any damage. I think it woulld be kind of cool if your vehicle took some damage from crashing into walls and trees. Maybe just a minimal amount of damage when you run someone over...

What does everyone else think?

Well when Frankie was talking about Zanzibar in an older story he said tha tyou could get the Hogs to go up the spinning power generator which then dropped them from a great height causing them to explode, giving you big falling bombs! So it appears crashing does damage your vehicle!

heh you read my mind. But I think the damage should be VERY minimal.

there shouldnt be damage if you hit something goin 10 mph but if your going pretty fast then there should be a little bit of damage and there should be absoloutly no damage to running someone over.

Someone set up us the bomb
on XBL i'm Gangsta Assasin

maybe there shuold be only superficial damage when you scrape a wall or something. like the paint flaking off. the hog (or whatever) would LOOK bad, but would still function the same. the vehicle should take real damage only if you have a head-on, or you back into something. but not really if you hit something with the side of the vehicle.

The running someone over thing was just a thought. I agree that it shouldn't hurt if you're barely moving, but at least some damage. I forgot about the part about dropping warthogs off that big wheel, I guess that would mean that there is some crash damage.

Ya there should be some damage if you crash into something like a broke headlight or something.
