I'm not trying to hog the forum or anything, but if all the HaloCE supporters keep their posts here instead of making new topics, we will be able to show Bungie just how much support there is for this game.

God Allmighty its NOT Going to Happen AT ALL

Why the Code for halo1 isnt Ment for live The maps in halo1 are Compressed

The halo xbox modding comunity has been trying to do this but it is not possible

It would not be worth it to make a Live enabled halo

Plus bungie dosent make 1.5 type games

It doesn't have to be a "1.5." Halo 2 will be coming out with new maps on a separate disk. Why can't they release Halo 1 on Xbox live on a separate Disk? It could be the Halo 1 anniversary edition or something.

It's bizarre to think that Bungie won't do this when they could make millions. But it will never happen.

If they could really make millions they would have already done it. They have market studies to figure this stuff out.

Edit: Oh wait a minute I'm an idiot. They did a market study on it and released it with online capability. I think they call it Halo PC

I'm sorry, but I'm tired of people saying that there is always HaloPC or XBC. XBC is extremely laggy for most people with average connections. Halo PC is also laggy, and some people simply do not want to play with a mouse and keyboard. Halo PC isnt even an exact remake of HaloCE. They added a bunch of crap that took away from the original game. (banshee, flamethrower ect.)

Halo CE is kinda... nah. It is not a good idea to mix CE w/ H2 online. That would be too glitchy. Bungie needs to make an Xbox live version of HALO though. The original HALO was better than H2 in a few ways. I personally liked the original game engine more. Yes it didnt have all of those nice lil explosions, but the gameplay was so much smoother it didnt matter as much. I also admit, that I miss my pistol. I miss being able to drop an opponet in 3-4 shots, even at long range. It was the great equalizer of a player who hoardes all the good weapons. And I also miss frag grenades in Halo, because they had cooler explosions. ...And I was considerably more skilled with the originals than the H2 version. I'd pay $50 for Halo for Xbox Live.

Another solution could be if Bungie includes HaloCE when they make "Halo3"
It can be like a special edition with a remake of the classic Halo.

Bungie has said they aren' t going to do it. they don't like rehashing old stuff unless im assuming its maps or features from the previous games.

there are 2 easy ways of playing halo1/CE online. XBC and halo1 for the PC. and you still get average 2000 people playing halo PC nightly. just because your friends and most people play halo2 on XBOX live doesnt mean you have to get all butt hurt about it and demand halo1 for live.

it ain't happening, give it a rest.

They did rehash...it's called Halo PC. They gave the job to Gearbox to port it over. They could do the same thing for a Halo 1 Live. Just hire a company to make the changes. They've already done it once.

So, they code up another engine just like it.

I just don't see how hard it can be to make HaloCE xbox live enabled. We just want the exact same game, but on Xbox Live!

I'd definitely buy a new copy of Halo for Live-enabledness. And seriously, I dont care how 'it's not gonna happen' or 'it'd be too hard to do'. The point is it's possible and I want it. All other considerations secondary.

Edit: Oh, also, I want to be able to play co-op on it.

Not everyone likes Halo 1 better! I now can't see why the heck I liked it so much after playing Halo 2 night and day. The graphics are way worse, he is so much heavier, the maps are too simple, you have life instead of just a shield, no duel weilding, no swords, no customizable suits and pics, etc.. A lot of people don't like Halo2 cuz they can't get use the the differences in how MC is weighted and how he moves and so they suck at it. I think Halo 2 is much better. The only thing better about Halo 1 is the campaign (cuz it's longer and doesnt leave you hanging so bad) and....oh wait, that's it. People complain that the pistol doesn't zoom in anymore, SO??? That would be why there is a battle riffle that does zoom in, and if you dual weild an SMG with a pistol, it's one of the most powerful combinations, so pistols still rule. And they have already said that they aren't going to enable Halo 1 with Live and even if they did, a lot of stuff wouldn't work well and they couldn't make extra content for the game because it is not made for it and doesnt have the right components.

These are the exact reasons we like HaloCE more!

This is a very common response from the Halo2 fanboys. And the truth is, that most people that prefer HaloCE owned at it and find the watered down noob-friendly gameplay of Halo2 very disappointing. Halo2 is a great game, but HaloCE was a lot more competitive with a wider skill gap. I would just rather play a game where the best player always wins.

Or fangirls.....But what is it that is bad about Halo 2? I mean, what makes it "watered down and noob-friendly"? Also, I think that the majority of people that don't like Halo 2 are the ones without Live. It makes ALL the difference. And also, people get better at a faster rate on Halo 2 because they get to play against sucha large number of different skill levels from around the world on Halo 2 in XBL (unless you count XBC for Halo 1). This makes you find new ways to do things, broadens your abilities, and definetly gives you competition. Plus, Halo 1 was great but what else were they supposed to do for Halo 2 other than put in different and new weapons, maps, and abilities. I do admit, there could be some more new features but I'm sure that Halo 2's ability to download new content will fix that if Bungie gets on it.
