anyone here heard of Full Sail Real World Education? it's one of the few accredited schools to offer a bachelor's degree in game design & development. been thinking about starting up there, but i wanted to see if i could get some third party info/experience/anything, before i go and blow a whole -blam!-load of money on something that's not worthwhile. Bungie employee input would also be very much appreciated.

Hopefully I'll see you there. Full Sail is my post-high-school dream center. They will send you a crap load of free info about the place as well as the surrounding area. My only problem is the tuition fee as well. What area are you going to study in? I, personally, want to get into computer animation, even though it's only an AOS degree.

i would probably get into game design & development. still waiting for my info to come in the mail. have you heard anything about the school? aside from what the school tells you about itself? i read on gamedev.net that it is a very fast paced program. the pool was split as to whether it helped to go that route vs. a regular CS degree.

No, i haven't heard anything outside of what they say other than that they are the best in the counrty, I read that in some gaming magazine. I can't really tell you anything that the pack on info won't tell you. It's some lengthy reading, but well worth it. You'll be stunned to see where a lot of their graduates have gone to work after graduating.

and if anyone else knows anything else about the school/program, please post. it's alot of money we're talking about here, so any information would be invaluable.

Don't waste your money. Full Sail gives poor results and even poorer job placement. Why? Because Game Design degrees aren't respected, even by game designers.

Your best bet? Get a classic degree. If you're an animator, get a bachelor's in animation. If you're a programmer, do something comp-sci-ish. And no matter what you do, avoid Full Sail.
