After I got used to halo, and really could lay the smackdown on those enemies on legendary, there were things i didn't like about halo anymore. Now i think it is dumb for an elite to sit there and yell when he sees you, giving you time to unload a plasma rifle clipin his body, or stick him with a plasma grenade. I also think grunts are too whimpy, they run too much, and despite how cool it is to beat many whole rooms by hitting sleeping grunts and smacking patrolling elites in the back; I would like to see the elites have better senses, and the grunts not sleep on the job, atleast not ALL the grunts. I also think hunters are "-blam!-" enemies unless you are fighting them for the first few times. Hunters in halo 2 should be more agile and have their whole body covered in armor except for when they swing at you, so you only get a split second to fire a few rounds in the belly, they should take more hits before dieing, and they should sprint faster and swing alot faster.
If you guys have anything else feel free to post and contructively criticize my post, if you will.

I agree with you that it was a little lax but some of it was expected the Elites usually only holler when they see you for the first time and that is to let all the other covies know you are there after that they usually only holler if they are dying. As far as the sleeping grunts go if you read the books you know that if the grunts get caught asleep when they are on post they could face death. I like running around the few rooms where you can use stealth to kill the covies. I do not like stealth games at all there is no way that you could get me play splinter cell but in Halo it kind of adds another layer to the play. Sure you could shoot the grunts and Elites but I like smacking them and it saves ammo.

Oh yeah I agree about the Hunters by far the easiest enemy in the game to kill. They should really be toughend up so they are as scary as they looked the first time you saw them and did'nt know about the ornge spot.

"The way of the warrior is the path of shadow. The gift of the warrior is to percieve that which cannot be seen. The spirit of the warrior is to strike in a single moment. The destiny of the warrior is balance in all things. And when balance is lost... all that is left is the reckoning."

I agree with the idea of Hunters being stronger but I doubt that Grunts will be sleeping in Halo 2 just because of teh fact that they are on an enemy world and are probably always being attacked. But with the Elite's they're going to be a helluva lot better in Halo 2, namely being able to call in for reinforcments, alert other groups of Covenant, and just be plain smarter overall. But for being on of the first Xbox games and the fact that it was Bungie's first Xbox game, they did a pretty damn good job of making Halo, considering it is one of the best sellers and probably most played games overall on the Xbox.

Yes, elites should still yell.........while shooting you, and what i have read about halo 2 i can tell they will be more fierce and harder to kill enemy, i will like that.

I'm really sure that the addition of the number 2 will be a big enough change to warrant me to buy the game.

You'll have to pay more attention in Halo 2 -- Elites will climb walls...

Hunter should be able to build up to a speed faster than chief, and like you said they shouldnt have an orange spot, or if they do, it should take more than one shots, and they shouldnt use that same move over and over again. Bungie should give them different types of melee, and make their melee attacks faster, so you cant circle them as easily.

It would be great if hunters where so tough that you had to turn and run from them, but they could build up speed and catch up with you, smack you in the back and send you flying, then they would be much better opponents.

To kill a hunter in halo 2: You must first hit it with a warthog moving at high speeds, it then falls to the ground, you get out holding a rocket launcher, while it is getting up you launch a rocket in to it and smack it over and over again.

Oh yea, my last post reminded me of one thing i liked about the hunter, it can withstand falls up to about 250+ feet. How do i know this? play Assault on the Control Room(on legendary of course) get to the natural bridge ( the one with banshees on it) get to the door leaving the bridge, hunters come out, with grunts, make sure everyone on the bridge is dead except the hunters( just makes it more of a lay back expierience), then trick the hunter into jumping off of the bridge, they live, I swear.

Has anyone ever tried beating the flood into a bloody pulp? If you're not using a shotgun you really either have to blow them up or smack them repeatedly while they're down. Or for those who like wasting ammo you could decapitate every body on the battlefield. Hunters should be that much of a pain to deal with. They should remind you of the Cyberdemon difficulty-wise from Doom.
