Ergh... I still want to know how close the Mythic Maps are to completion. Not to being released, but to completion. I want to know this because I've heard numerous times that they're already done, and if they are, and Microsoft's the reason they're not being released-well lets just say what I was about to say if recorded would be able to have me locked up for a long time. God so help me, I want those maps bad. I also of course, love Halo 3 recon. And while the Mythic Map Pack's realeae incures my wrath, I cannot wait for Halo 3 recon, but I will do just that. I look forward to seeing people realize what is possible with a extra disk. Ah well-as the night is at its darkest, and even the moon's light is unseen, covered by are uncertainty, exitement, and passing, I look onward, through the sweeping black clouds, toward the dawn.
Well, when games are completed, and they are on any console, but specifically xbox or xbox 360, they have to go through cert. Cert = Certification. Any Content whether it be a game, a picture pack, or some new maps for Halo 3, have to be thrououghly tested and then must undergo certification. Dependent on how big the project is, and how much Bungie is willing to pay, directly reflects how long it takes to go through this process. But, when I was a tester on PGR4, the game was out on store shelves roughly 2 1/2 months after all testing was done on it. The demo, that hit the Xbox 360 market place was on there roughly 1 1/2 months afterwards.
So, at this time, I'm guranteeing you that they aren't done, close enough to done that they can set a date, but not close enough to where they say within 3 months. It is October, and they are saying winter for release. That means anytime between December and roughly the end of March. So, they could be within 2 months or roughly 4.
They aren't done yet to answer your question. They must go through rigorous testing to ensure that everything in the maps functions the way it is supposed to and they must ensure that there are no exploits on it.
Have fun waiting. I'm too busy being a tester to have time to play halo 3 that much. :(
I <3 Bungie.
PLEASE HIRE ME AS A TESTER ON THE NEW CAMPAIGN!!!!!
I have over 10,000 hours logged for the Halo 3 triliogy!!!!! (only proof is for H2 and H3, but those two combined make up roughly 7,900 hours if you estimate 10 minutes a game :) )
