ok after reading the last few updates im very worried.

anyone who has and plays xbox live knows that for every live enabled game there are set "live rules" for games types that give u world wide stats. H2 will ofcourse have this feature for each of its game types and i only hope for one thing... PLEASE BUNGIE PLEASE, DONT MAKE RADAR NESSACERY!?

all you expierienced, and even most of u novice, halo players know that radar sucks, it takes away all sneaking and surprise and is almost as bad as "screen looking"... u guys agree right?! lets make a stand now before its too late in H2's devlopment to change

You do know, that if you move slow enough, you won't appear on the radar right?

I need a weapon.

I like radar on slayer, makes the game flow better . . . but on CTF it simply CANNOT be allowed

THANK YOU Derekw, I agree 100%, it's cheap and takes away from playing in different rooms. It doesn't tell elevation, but with levels and only have like one level (in hight), it can completely ruin a GOOD strategy, well, at least make it an option (an option I will never activate).

SB-117

Perhaps they are getting rid of the radar so that it isnt in the way of your left hand weapon when you are dual wielding?

Bungie WILL handle this situation in the best way to please every one. You will ALL have what you want, I trust Bungie. They are going Beta test soon and will make the best game experience possibe (they aren't ignorant children you know), so I'm guessing they will make radar and option in all areas of gameplay (hopefully even in campaign=ultra legenday), but have to option to balance certain games IF you wish.

So who cares, even Master Chief uses it in the books to his advantage. I dont see why people cant get used to it. I hardly ever look at mine and plus there are ways around it. For example have one person distract while the other goes in behind because I know im not gonna be looking at my radar while im in a gunfight.

Maybe you should. You know... a little strategy to counter an opponent? And for the love of all that it is holy, don't call it the "-blam!-DAR". It is a motion tracker, not a radar (hence why you don't show up on it if you're not moving), and calling it "-blam!-DAR" makes me want to lock this thread, rather than listen to your comments.

ok fine...im sorry lord master...no more -blam!-dar..but still the motion tracker still feels like it takes away from the game....im sick of always looking at that evil lil thing to see if im still safe or not.....i like the element of surprise...i mean comeon...isnt it fun to sneak up behind someone and give em a good ol -blam!- slap to the head when they are camping? if you have the motion tracker you never have to worry about that...you can sit in one spot the whole game if you're lucky enough....and this thing about walking....doesnt really make much sense...mp games are fast....walking only makes you a better target

I am sure you can just turn it off in Live the same way as Multiplayer.

All u people who say u dont mind, all u have probably played is split-screen. On Sys-Link or XBC it sucks cuz u go to whack someone and they turn around and blast u. So hell naw i think it sucks and THEY SHOULDN"T HAVE IT.

i think radar good in the game...however it should be optional. it does give the game a little stragey rather then a game for killing....more killing...and more killing

What about those that have surround sound. Will you find it cheap that you can not sneak up on them because they will alsways hear you. And in may games motion tracker or not campers don't last long.

Mr. bungie master guy, motion tracker isn't cool, I don't want it to show me where someone is. To have in mandatory for ranked games is even worse.Ranked games are supposed to be all about skill. Whats so skillful about having a little radar thing show you where people are. If you had any skill at all you would know of course {not you in general} that you should use your senses & skills as a player to find your opponents. My point is have it selectable -or- just have it MANDATORY to have it off in ranked games, after all it is a ranking game & it ranks you on your skills as a player, not your looking at the motion tracker skills, it'll be a sad sad day when people find out on 11/9/04 that a motion tracker is Mandatory in ranked games. peace

P.S. Tell Jones about what I said. Thank you!!!!!
