Yes Sir. Bungie Designers take alot of time putting together the little thing you guys call -blam!-DAR. i dont use it but at least respect the time it took to put it in and get it working right.

yeh ofcourse but u usually dont "walk" in multiplayer

Maybe you should. You know... a little strategy to counter an opponent? And for the love of all that it is holy, don't call it the "-blam!-DAR". It is a motion tracker, not a radar (hence why you don't show up on it if you're not moving), and calling it "-blam!-DAR" makes me want to lock this thread, rather than listen to your comments.

I have played against people who upon looking at the radar, can gauge were you are and throw a gernade right at you feet, or pick the perfect spot to ambush and kill you. I took it away next game and slaughtered them! The Radar is cheap folks! I'd leave it for the Noob games and leave it out for the pro's! The radar take away all cunning and stragegy....it makes me sooo mad. I hate almost as much as I hate pistols. I wish people could have more fun with the game and be less cheap!

I hate it too, they don't have it in PC FPS that I can remember. It's one of the things that really bothers me about Halo1, it seemed as if they were catering to the casual ie MC moves slowly, can't effectively dodge fire against a skilled opponent, motion detector. They want their game to be enjoyed by everyone, but it alienates the serious gamer. Comes down to sales in the end I'd guess.

It does take away from strategy. I like it as an option, but not as a default. That way, in clan matches, MT is off. If you want MT on, you can't play an official match.

Splinter Cell:PT does this well. There are a number of settings that you can alter, but if you want to play a ranked game, you have to play by the official rules. I'm certain there'll be "official rules", I just hope they don't include the MT.

personally, I dont see the big deal about the motion trakcer. I mean, it just shows MOVEMENT within a given range. Its not like it shows the location of your opponents anywhere on the map. Its meant to increase your situational awareness, not as 'cheating'....

what NEEDS to be taken out or at least be able to turn off is the friggin' active camo and overshield in multiplayer...god I hate those...

It should only use your team just to show where they are and where they died not the other team i think thats dumb because then there is no point in looking for them...you already know where you are and they already know where you are...so its kinda cheap

Its very cheap indeed, There is no skill involved looking at a MT. Real skill is finding your opponents yourself. MT tracker is fine for newbies, but do not have it as default for ranked games.PLEASE.
