Ok, so when I first make my map in Max I add my bitmaps and build the map correctly.
When I compile it, it finishes just fine.
These are the Bitmaps I use

However, once I load it up in Sapien or Halo 2, the outcome is completely, well... Wrong.
It comes out like this

I've tried switching back to the old bitmaps that came with the editor, but the same problem occurs regardless. And I can't seem to fix it no matter what.
I checked all over the internets, but no one seems to be experiencing a similar problem or has a solution. I hoped B.net might be able to toss some advice in.
Thank you!

In Halo 1 as well and many other games, that's sort of a default texture that's used when the game can't find the correct texture, or the loaded texture is corrupt and doesn't make sense. I don't know anything about texturing, so all I can say is to check that everything is in the correct place and in a compatible format.

It is. I've made sure of this three times.
I'll check the paths once more.

I'm not too sure if H2V works similar to halo1, but if it does make sure you compiled your bitmaps correctly. This means that you need to place your bitmaps in the data folder of your map, then compile them with tool and that shizzle.

Yeah, I know. I've done that, placed them in the folder, compiled, built the shaders, then compiled the level. Everytime, the same issue follows.

What does tool say when you compiled the map, also did you run lightmaps?
In halo ce you still had to change something in guerilla with each compiled bitmap as well, did you do this? Describe in detail exactly what you did, and perhaps I can help you.

Note that I'm better at halo ce stuff, and am just guessing what could have gone wrong here.

It says pretty much the same thing you'd expect it to.
Except it can't find my shaders. I've run my shaders through the collections file, placed them in the right spots, and made sure everything was shipshape.
But it can't seem to find them. That's the only problem I can think of.

So you can't see any shaders in your tags/yourlevel folder? Or somewhere near there?
I think you should take this problem to halomaps.org, post it in the H2V section.

Thanks, I'll do that.
I at least got some idea out of it, lol.

I'm thinking this might have something to do with a windows vista security issue, so check to make sure that you have the access level to any and all files associated with H2V set to all levels: Guest and Administrator.
