Subject: Regenrating, Self Replicating, and Flash Cloning: 117's Death?

For some reason this post was originally moved from the Underground to The Library. Seeing that it has to do with the plot/storyline of Halo 2, shouldn't it have gone here?

The Halo storyline/universe has all the workings of many ancient/religious epics (history in some cases). Keeping this in mind, as well as the subject line of this thread, it seems as if Bungie is setting up a theme of resurrection. With only pure speculation, mainly from the books, to back me up, I think it may be possible we'll see the big guy himself die and then rise again. There just seems to be to many mentions of new life (regeneration, self replication, flash cloning) throughout the books, especially in First Strike, for a theme such as "resurrection" to be a side note. For instance, Serg. Johnson's situation with his disease and the Flood. This would fall into this "new life category," as well as Cortana's new self replicating quandry. What do you guys think? Something is going to happen for sure, but what?

Ugh

I had a response to this one too, didn't I?

 • 07.02.2004 11:48 PM PDT

Yes, a loonnnggg response.... good, but long:)

Any reasoning as to why it would have been put in the Library?

Maybe thats why Ackerson had DNA data on all the Spartans stored away. I have feeling he's forming his own army of Spartan clones.

 • 07.02.2004 11:56 PM PDT

Sure...( shaking my head )

Just kidding:)

I guess it could have been a mistake from one of the new mods.

Oh well....

So do I

But I don't expect them to be like MC and his kind; something more twisted might be being put into the new breed

I just went back and read a few pages in First Strike and Halsey mentiond that "...This procedure is... unpleasant , even for a Spartan."

Some how I think this does have a relationship with the Flood. I think ill sleep on this and make a better thought out theory for later in the day.

Well, if you want some ideas for you theory go read mine.

It's titled Sergent Johson: A Trojan Horse?

that would be pretty freaky

There are Flood genes inside Johnson. The regnerative process Johnson know has makes these "dead" Flood genes more of a problem.

I don't think 343 survived at all i just think that was a little movie bungie put at the end of halo. just to make us think that he is still around and i read some where from a good source i swear on my life that if 343 does return it only be for a level

 • 07.03.2004 8:45 AM PDT

Just my opinon, but I'm 100% convinced that 343 guilty spark survived. Unlike the Sergent. Johnson egg in the Legendary movie, 343 GS is in every difficulty setting movie. Not to mention that every article on Halo 2 has given 343 GS a 100% chance of returning in Halo 2... just my opinion though:)

No, she was explaining how Johnson is still alive after the MC saw the video of the Flood attacking him:)

And if you want further proof GS still alive go to the Halo 2 section of the site then go to Voice outtakes area and look around until you see something about GS and how that part wanna gonna be in the 2003 E3 movie.

(thanks) Yea, 343 GS is a character. He's annoying, yet he has so many clues and information about the Forerunners and the Halos. He's got to return just for the sake of that:)

Clones and Ressurection? Shouldn't Bungie take a hint from The Matrix: Revolutions and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones?? If this is the direction Halo 2 is heading, the I hope Bungie can right the wrongs of the major movie makers.

Don't worry, they'll get it right.

Besides, it worked out in the Bible:)
