I read/wrote from all of them, and my favorite is science fiction. I'm currently writing a story and I'm running out of ideas. If you take this poll I really need your input and I trust your opinion. Maybe you'll help me resurface some old stuff, maybe not. I think that if I ask everyone here, then I'll be encouraged to write better, because I would be targeting to a gaming audience.

I should know that "other" is a combination of both sci-fi and fantasy. I'll consider mixing the two together. I'll give everyone a day to put their two-cents into the hat before sharing a piece of it.

I like military history. Generally- if I have time or desire to read- I like to spend it on something educational (not to mention interesting). Military Histories have both of those aspects.
Is it hard writing a book? Do you ever get sick of it?

I love it. I've been writing ever since I was nine years old. I stoppped for a while, I started back doing science fiction. Sometimes it makes me really mad when I run out of ideas or the ones I do have are seen in other books. I considered quitting it all, until I found a friend to help come up with some new ideas. Then I lost touch with her. It sucks sometimes having to do it all alone again. If you have any ideas just PM me.

Have you ever read any Tom Clancy books? I have three of them, and I'm starting on one of them.

So you like to write to huh? same here!
the only thing i really hate, is to get with something originall enough. That can be kinda annoying sometimes.
And oh yeah, science fiction and fantasy are my favorites.

I know you aren't asking me, but I've read a few. I haven't read them in a while and they were borrowed.

The originality problem is most common with the average professional writer. I'm not considered as professional because I haven't published yet, even though I've been doing it most of my life. If you or anyone else here who likes to write have trouble coming up with anything from just one genre, try combining two different genres together. Like science fiction and military, just a few to name.

Hmm, a little of a lot i guess. My favorite authors are Michael Chrichton, Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, and Kurt Vonnegut. I also read physics books and the occasional Steven King. If you count manga then the mangas i read are mostly Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Your right about that i have had trouble with making interesting ideas for one book i am writing so i did something somewhat similar to Dune so it became sci-fi but with fantasy elements.
