if you have watched the special 'Making of Halo 2' there is a part where one of the creators is talking and he says "...horrible scene where Miranda straps a bomb on the Master Chief, and then shoves him down a hole. Its this awful scene of betrayal..." . Thats what he said, and i just wanted to hear what everyone else thought of it.

Does the MC escape? How? Does he Die? How? Who is Miranda? When will i be able to get my copy of Halo 2? Will it sell out before i can get it? Will Bungie take over the world? How? (ok im stoppin, u dont have to answer those last few questions)

Nobody really knows. I heard somewhere that it was one of the developers who was sad about a breakup with his girlfriend, so he made that scene. Or something like that. Maybe Miranda was his girlfriend. Maybe Miranda is a new character. Who knows.

I think they were being symbolic; and they were talking about what ideas were thrown around in the story-creation part of Halo 2. I think they were talking about how this idea -- whatever it meant -- was ditched in the end...

Bungie used the names of Mythological swords for
AI characters in the Marathon Series, and I read
on the story page on HBO that Miranda was another name
for excalibur (i think it was excalibur). Its possible that this
is a hint toward the intro of a new AI character in Halo 2.
Check out the story page for more info.

No, if you listen carefully he says it is a story that will go down in the untold lore of bungie. It has nothing to do with the game.

yea he does say that...but I thought it could mean its untold because they didn't tell anyone yet...

Not when he uses untold in the future sense. Trust me it has nothing to do with the game. There may be a Miranda in the game, but Miranda will not shove John down a hole.

True, it is untold, but it could have something to do
with the demise of the MC. He could be killed by a bomb like
what was mentioned in the footagesomehow, and this
untold character Miranda which is never mentioned before
(but possibly hinted or eluded to) could be responsible.

Are you braindead? It will not happen, let it go.

Miranda is the girlfriend of Jason, the guy who works at Bungie Studios and is the Project Lead. Someone posted it above and said that he was going through a difficult breakup at the time with his girlfriend. So he made up a scene where Miranda straps a bomb to Master Cheif's back and pushes him down a hole. I just watched the video. It HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HALO 2!!!
