in the book it says john was cloned to replace him for the spartan project. so in halo2 do you think that the real 117 will meet the CLONED 117. or did johns homeworld get blown up i cant remember?

human cloning is not perfected. the clone died years after the cloning. it said in the books.

Humans haven't perfected cloning yet so yes it would die at a very young age.

I dont remember reading that in FS (which I just finished....again) but I do know it is mentioned that they had to rush the human clones which hadn't been perfected yet anyways, so most of them died of degenerative diseases at a young age

no they mention it in the fall of reach
they can clone body parts but not whole humans. Its in F of R and FS

Though Ackerson *might* be cloning John and all the others many times over in his new facility. He did seem particularly interested in the degeneration in the clones. He might have been working on correcting that, possibly even fixing the genetic flaws that killed or crippled the 43 Spartans that did not finish their training.
