NOOOO!
I am the little prometheus. I AM!
I posted a while back, and i dont care if someone posted this exact theory, but im not reading the entire post.

Team matches, Red Vs Blue, for halo 2 you will have the choice of Red vs Blue vs Gold vs Green

these are bright colors, except for green, which maybe the normal MC color armor, but noone knows yet.

So, You maybe able to pick any multiplayer color, with the exception of the panels, which indicate your team

What i mean is bright red against brown earthen walls or an icy level like lockout
isnt exactly what i call camo

So you can change from bright colors to darker colors, that may just prevent you from being sniped out while going for the stealth approch, but then again there are the panels, which arent too small, confusing the enemy that you may be on his team, yet not too big, completely giving you away

Or, the panels may have to do with a new game type, ie. Assault

so, thats my theory... and i have a great one for the thrusters on the banshees and ghosts

Ok, Im not knocking your Ideas but lets think here for a sec.. Why would they alowy you to put a big bumper sticker on your armor... Im not going to say thats a stupid idea, but i think it would take away from the whle, machine of war ultimate solider idea. But then again, it's only multiplayer... BUT then again.. MP is where legends are born!

Did they specifically release how the logos would work? For all we know it could be like Half-Life's logos that you spray paint on the walls...'

Anyway, It should be:

upper left on front (chest)
back (large)
Each Shoulder

The whole bumpersticker thing would be stupid i think, like what would you put on it, the bungie logo, or that sign that elites have on their back and on the bases in blood gulch?
idk maybe you could change the damage and weathering on your armor, from shot full o holes, to had an inciddent with some explosives, or maybe you sat in a storm for a couple of years. and brand freakin new might be cool too...

That would be awsome. I was thinking of that idea when i was dreaming about halo 2. Because i already have a clan and it would be great if i could put all cool different colors whith my clan name.

Escape will make me God.

I think it's entirely possible that those colored plates could be changed to signify different players on a team. With the current system you have to look at your teammate just a tad too long to get their name. Differentiating by color would be useful in some heavy situations. It's a great idea and I have suggested something similar to this before. However, it's nothing new in the Bungie realm. You could select your personal color and your team color in Marathon 2 and Infinity. It was a seldomly used function in my group, but we would do some team slayer/oddball type matches every now and then.

Judging from the recent GI pictures I have seen, it's kind of hard to say if Bungie is planning on implementing such a color scheme. Most of the players have those off-color plates on their armor, but the color is usually a white/slate color. If Bungie has not decided on user-selected colors for team play, then I definitely support the idea of bringing it back for Halo 2. It's always nice to have options.

Oh, and about the logo thing... I also think it would be difficult to see and otherwise pointless to put such a customizable logo on, say, the back of the MC. If anything, I would like to see custom team logos for the flags on CTF matches. Perhaps they could be uploadable via bungie.net? That would rock.
