Can someone answer my question:
Why does the restraint move the nav bar over like this?
You can't use Restraint and Reincarnate at the same time.

I have no opinion one way or the other.

Iggy, your avatar is no longer cheese-related, but your PM button still says "Churn me".

It sounds.....erotic.

:).

Sprool (you're always sprool. Not iggy, heh), can't see your PM message. It clashes with your title bar.

Oh, I have a question. OK, so I'm learning basics of html. Like, extremely basic. It's a class, so even though I know what we're doing and what we'll be doing for the next couple weeks, they have to cover it still. Bastards.
Anyways, in the class, you have to go <B> instead of [b].
Why is bungie using []? Or is there no difference?

The brackets are for bb code which the forums use. If you used brackets when you created a site it would like well...

  • 02.13.2009 4:17 PM PDT

Oh ha ha -.-
Just for that, my plans to make a script that will infect your computers are back on! All I have to do is hack Sprool's account, and you'll all trust it. Muwhahahaa.
:0.

Yeah, I know everything we're learning and will learn for a good week, but I didn't know the difference so... OK. Though I do prefer the Bnet brackets, I must say.
No, that's really why I took the class. I have no plans to be a Sprool, but I would like to at least understand how to do these scripts. I plan on tinkering around to make one if I can figure it out.

So first things first. Someone tell me how to look at the coding for a script :).

Just for the record, I ignored you, too, since you were the first to admit you did it.

The ignore script looks smeckshey.

Btw, I did unignore you.

  • 02.13.2009 4:40 PM PDT

Why... thank you for not ignoring me -.-
I love me. I'd like everyone to share in this glory that is me.

Damn...

Edit: By the way... your text color is hard to read against the background. I had to highlight it! Maybe make it a tad brighter? Then again, I'm not wearing glasses so...

@ Manafontman

I have to highlight your post just so I can read it

In other news, I just made my first flash game OMGWTFBBQWINSAUCEFAIL.

The ignore script is coming in quite useful.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

I suggest you look at W3's javascript tutorial - it will explain this stuff in pretty simple terms.
You can also take other people's scripts and like you said, tinker around with them. That's another good way to learn.

  • 02.13.2009 5:45 PM PDT

OK, I messed with one script. I tried making one, and I personally think that while it's simple, it's a decent idea. I'm just checking something out because I might have just broken a major scripting rule (I mean rule as in... code doesn't work if you mess a tag up type of thing), so I'm making sure I can do what I did first...
Question though. How do you get it so it's in a downloadable form for greasemonkey? I'm not going to post it til I know if it works or not... but I have to be able to try it myself, right?

Upload it here and then when you see the 'install' button, right click and copy that link for a direct download.

OK, forgive me becuase I am stupid, but how do I save it? I'm assuming I can't just save as word document. Where do I type in the code?

I actually have the whole text of the code sitting in word doc right now, but where do I put it?

Copy and paste it into notepad and save it as "scriptname.user.js".

You're using Word as a text editor?? That's a travesty in the programming world...

I'm going to pretend that I did not read that.

<_<

Get a real text editor.
