I'm rather surprised that this is all working in opera (well, the information that's supposed to go in the text box is missing). And it looks like you've made it so the update process won't be using GM functions. Though there's still a bit of code I'm looking through to see if I can help make it any more efficient. (you're using linear search instead of binary?!?!)

In related news, having the src file not-local makes it hard to make changes.

oh yeah I wanted it to work in opera, so I started just a basic script that my server would pass out, then expanded A WHOLE BUNCH since then.

I suck at binary, although I did mess around with some of the operators. Thanks for the help Coke, I deeply appreciate it. That is why my script is almost squeaky clean and super easy to read.

Thank you...I love this script a lot, and want to use it to it's fullest potential.

I think i'll wait until you're done with the script before I go messing around with it. However, is the php file generated by a database (sql), or is it static?

Well, it's static. There are two folders and two files. One folder is public, and the other is for the pending submissions. One php file is simply for the processing of the submissions, and putting them into text files. The other one is for authorized users, and simply moves selected users' settings to the public folder. Its an approval page.

About the source file being hard to make changes, well, this is the developer script. The public one (hopefully released Saturday night) will be grabbed from a different folder on my server, and the developer version is for me to simply test out changes. The rest is simple, I copy and paste the new script to replace the old one. So if people also want to check out what is going on with the coup, they could switch from the public version, to the developer version.

I was also thinking about making it just one script, then there would be a set of special options for that kind of stuff, switching from public <-> developer, etc. That would be troublesome if everyone just went with the latter option. Anyways, these ideas will not be implemented soon. There will be a separate script link that will be with the new coup release.

Hey guys, look here for some awesome title bar backgrounds. They are resized snippets of wallpapers.

The submit button is now fully operational, feel free to submit your script settings, however... the server-side coding is not done yet, but I might just put the submissions in manually while I am coding.

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

Sprool, when you're adding the event listener for the execution and browser information, can you change it to

document.addEventListener(...

That seems to allow it to work in Opera as well is all.

Also, in the Threads function, replace

var T = document.getElementById("ctl00_mainContent_tp1") ? document.getElementById("ctl00_mainContent_tp1").ne xtSibling.nextSibling.childNodes[1] : false; with var T = document.getElementById("ctl00_mainContent_tp1") ? document.getElementById("ctl00_mainContent_tp1").ne xtSibling.nextSibling : 0; It does exactly the same thing, except it works in opera as well.

It is finally Halo's se7enth anniversary (east coast FTW!), and to commemorate such an event, I am releasing my SentBox script which functions exactly how it sounds.

I think I might have found a problem with the sentbox, which is still great by the way.

I sent five TEST messages.

TEST 1 - Regular message. I didn't preview the post. No link.
~Successful

TEST 2 - Preview + Link
~Failed

TEST 3 - Just previewed the post
~Failed

TEST 4 - Exactly the same as first test, to make sure of validity.
~Successful

TEST 5 - Link, no preview.
~Successful
Based on these results, I'd say that previewing a post before sending the message causes it to NOT be added to the sentbox.

Not to worry, I know what the problem is. Since there is no way to directly 'hook' the action of the server sending the message, I capture the button click event instead.

You must click on the 'Submit' button for it to work at all. The 'Send' button after previewing won't work.

Yay! A sentbox now exists, oh and Duardo, loving the new avatar. :)

Oh, and could someone tell me why the hell my oldest coup'd script is running on my old computer right now? It is still that 'sprite' colored one I hated so.

Picture, took about 20 minutes to upload, counting every single step possible, starting with taking the screenshot.

I hate my old computer so much. It does not even feel like WinXP, more like Win95.
