Duardo, I love you. Even if you thought of me absolutely none during your production of this fine (and indeed epic) work, it fits so perfectly.

And no, other people, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, especially if you think you do. But it's alright, memes are fun.

What for a couple of hours? lol j/k

I use it sometimes either in the Flood or H3 forum when I screen cap something for someone ... it flips them out. Haven't had too many chances at doing that, but it's definitely fun and I still have it saved =)

Bungie.net Link Assimilator
Download

Have you ever sat there browsing bungie.net, wondering why it was going so slow, only to take a look a the address bar and realize that somehow you got switched over to the much slower admin.bungie.net or seventhcolumn.bungie.net instead of being on www.bungie.net where you thought you were? Well I have, and it's annoying.

After putting up with the changes for so long, mainly due to this thread and a certain moderator's (*cough* Duardo *cough*) habit of linking to admin.bungie.net all the time, I decided to write a script that changes all links on the page to the current domain that you are using.

If you are on admin.bungie.net, all links will now point to admin.bungie.net.
If you use www.bungie.net, all links will go there.

I've also included the same service for seventhcolumn.bungie.net and halo3.org, both of which can be used in place of www.bungie.net.

There is an option in the script's source code that lets you set whether you want it to change just the url or the Link text as well.

For example, if you are using seventhcolumn.bungie.net and a user posts:http://admin.bungie.net the script will change it to one of the following depending on how you have it configured:

ChangeLinkText = false;http://admin.bungie.netChangeLinkText = true;http://seventhcolumn.bungie.netBy default, ChangeLinkText is set to 'false'.

Edit: damn typos...

THANK YOU SKITTLES!

@ Script Keeper, I used it for a long time because it showed up all over the internet. But I saw it today when I was getting rid of scripts and had a pang of nostalgia.

If there is a link to http://www.admin.bungie.net, and you use http://www.seventhcolumn.bungie.net, it changes http://www.admin.bungie.net/* to http://www.seventhcolumn.bungie.net/*

So basically if I don't know what the hell you're talking about, it's still good to have?

Allright, let me try again.

It's a very subtle change in its default state.

Look at the 1st page of this thread. Duardo has a crapload of links on there.

If you scroll over them and look at the bottom left corner of the screen where it tells you where the link points, most of them will be to "http://admin.bungie.net/Forums/...."

bungie.net can be accessed in several ways. You can go to:
- admin.bungie.net
- seventhcolumn.bungie.net
- halo3.org
- www.halo3.org

www.bungie.net is the recommended version and has been noted as being faster than the alternatives.

Moderators are told to use admin.bungie.net because that is the server that contains the moderation functions (I'm not sure on that, but I believe that's what was said)

Seventhcolumn.bungie.net is extrememly slow and is useless except for the novelty that it provides.

The Halo3.org ones are absolutely useless... you cannot even log in on those ones. Regardless, I included them.

My script detects which version you are using and rewrites all of the links on the page to link to the one you are using.

So, back to that 1st page of this thread... Assuming you are using www.bungie.net, my thread will replace the 'admin' with 'www' in all of the links. If you are on seventhcolumn for whatever reason, it will replace 'admin' with 'seventhcolumn'.

The concept behind this script is that you will stay on whichever version of bungie.net you prefer to be on, regardless of what links you click.

Hey, I downloaded a few scripts earlier today, they were the new ones.

One puts "This was a bad word, but now its not" and one makes image and video links appear in their image and video form.

Just for future reference, what are the names of these scripts? Also, is there a way to add color to the "This was a bad word, but now its not" script?
(I downloaded all of the new ones at the same time so i could not tell what changes they made)

EDIT
Okay skittles, that makes much more sense now, i had no idea this site could be accessed in different ways. Well the script looks helpful. thanks

The "This was a bad word" one is called "Bungie Translate". I'm not sure of the video one though.

I just realized I left the broken version of my script commented out in the working version which I released. So, although it makes no physical difference, you may want to uninstall and re-download my script if you've already downloaded it (before 7:26pm Bungie time).

But like I said, it makes absolutely no difference either way. =)

Immortal, that script is for the win. It's going to keep me surfing Bungie the way that I want to surf Bungie... without Duardo's damnable interference.

Damn you Duardo!!

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

RIP 118. 2008-2010.

I've missed a lot of scripts. I like the rainbow logo, though!
