I already brought up that problem, and don't blame bungie on this one, it is paulmarv.
He told me that he will fix it soon... That could be months...

In the wars of the future, wars will be fought by video game nerds who can't use anything but a sniper rifle.

Imagine, someone equipped with an automatic rifle will venture out into the battlefield and be killed by a member of his or her respective team because they're a "noob".

I was beginning to wonder where you went :-P

Coup isn't down, it's just offline for a while. From what I've gathered, (which is just reading a few posts before me), we'll see it up and running within the next few days. It's never been that long of a wait: I'm sure we can manage :-)

I work at Microsoft. I have nothing to do with Halo and nothing I say is "the official word".

Not necessarily all that useful for the main boards, but for those interested:

I wrote a script to implement a BB [code][/code] tag, which automatically does indenting and formatting for source code.

Example:
[code]if (something)
{
if (something else)
bleh
#ifndef whatever
else
blah
#endif
for ()
{
for()
{
if ()
something
//comment
}
}
}[/code]

Next version will have language detection and syntax highlighting, I presume?

Thanks paul, much appreciated.

No problem, glad to be of assistance. I assume that means it is working properly now :)

I have a quick query here; maybe someone can help me with it.

Is it possible to have a "quote" button added to a post in a thread (in the same area as the reply and report buttons) so it takes the string of text (ie. the person's post), then adds the first part of the quote tag, then the standard "Posted by: name" and have that hyperlinked to the post it originated from, add the rest of their post, then the last quote tag.

In other words, in one click of a button, can someone make something that does this...

Please note that this forum is not the appropriate place to discuss Halo. Have a cool story from which ever-game? Post in the appropriate Halo related forum.

That would be terrific if it's possible.

The Who's online script isn't working for me, and partially neither are BB code with the smiley faces etc etc, and the posting tools additional links button isn't either.

Paul, thanks for fixing it. Daza, I like the idea a lot. Can we get a scripter here to see if it's possible?

Lots of scripts break when coup goes offline.
