After recently releasing a simple script to bring back the old font in the 'post reply' box, I've become a bit more.. addicted to greasemonkey. ;) As such, I've decided to create something a bit more ambitious; I would like to present to you: Glass Emotion v0.5 - a Bungie.net theme.

[Screenshot of it in action]

The aim of this theme was to create something visually pleasing, whilst steering away from the current style of Bungie.net, yet still keeping it relevant to Bungie/Halo.

The name 'glass emotion' might sound quite deep and, well, emo, but it's much simpler than that. I wanted to go for a shiny glass style, whilst using the 'emotion' Halo 3 image for the background (that image is amazing).

As for the v0.5 - I've only been creating this over the last few days, so it's still pretty early in development. Don't expect it to work with the whole of Bungie.net, as I've only tested it on a few of the more important pages. Please report any bugs to me, either in this topic or via PM.

Thanks, and enjoy :)

Edit: I should note that this was originally made for a 1680*1050 screen, so feedback/screenshots of how it looks on different resolutions would be appreciated.

Edit II: This isn't a stab at the webteam in any shape or form. I love the design of Bungie.net, I just wanted a bit of a creative challenge. :)
Dude, that's awesome! I like it a lot.

Same here. I drool when I look at it. I was wondering if a second version could be made where instead of the Master Chief background the default gradient background was there. I think that would look great.

EDIT: By the gradient background I mean the one that came with New Hotness.

Oh, something I've noticed, Account Age hasn't been fixed by anyone as far as I know. If any scripter is up for it... Robby118... it'd be wonderful if we could get it back.

I already have some kind of thread tags script. I don't know if anyone wants it though.

Do not be mistaken with the tag system like files. On the sidebar, it will pull out words that are used the most and create a tag cloud. Not sure how useful it is. Pretty bad in usefulness IMO, but looks good.

Well, it seems that all my furniture has come into my house, the couch is right next to my computer chair and I don't think I'll be working on any scripts until next week. We took everything out of storage so my house is stuffed right now. The bright side of it is, well, at least we have a couch until we sell it.

I'm thinking of a group notifier script. It would check a [group list] every [timeframe] and if there is a new posts, it would bring up the thread, and who posted in it. It would check every group forums' first two threads that pop up. After all the checking is done, if it's new, it'll give all the details.

Epic completely stupid idea! What if someone could create something to "sort of" bring the files forums back. What it would do, is make an extra forum link on the other forums page, and the link would take you to a website someone created to partially mock Bungie.net. There, you could make an account and pretend it's part of the site. There'd be links back to the site and everything. XD

Indeed. I haven't had XBL for a long time, but I still come on her everyday.

So I fixed Account Age because Snakie told me to, and if I don't meet his demands he does terrible things to me.

Download

I spiced it up a little bit with some spices. The only "problem" is that it will replace the periods in the "Member Since" date with slashes, because otherwise it wouldn't work. So if that bothers you, me sorry.

Good job, Robby. That's one of the last few scripts I have that needs to be tinkered with to work. One down, about two or three left to go. And those, I think, will be up to Iggy.

The BWU link format doesn't work with the new hawtness, Bungie Weekly Update: 10.02.09. Bungie Weekly Update: 10/02/09. Bungie Weekly Update: 100209.

Or I could be doing it wrong, I'm just stating this.

Yeah, it's because the links are always different each week. Sometimes the numbers will be bunched together or sometimes they'll be separated by an underscore. Blame me. : (

I guess I could change it or somehow make it more efficient. I also realized that posting tools interferes with the character count. Noes!

Extremely late edit: Ah, moving it to the top fixed it. Silly me.

Haha yeah, I noticed that during development. As I set the includes to http://*bungie.net* for this script, greasemonkey loads the script for any website beginning with "http://" and containing "bungie.net" anywhere in the URL. So when you do a google search for "bungie.net", google's URL starts with "http://" and contains the text "bungie.net" (from the search entry) within the URL, therefore loading the script. I'll probably sort it out at some point; just gotta add more includes/excludes to narrow it down a bit.

No, just add a /.

Ex: http://*bungie.net/*

That will filter out every site other then bungie.
